For those who prefer a more tactile gaming experience, a DeckbuildingGame called ''Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Card Game'' was published in 2017 by Renegade Game Studios, who also launched a Website/{{Kickstarter}} [[https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/scottpilgrimminis/scott-pilgrim-miniatures-the-world-relaunch campaign for]] a tabletop miniatures game, ''Scott Pilgrim Miniatures the World'' in 2019.

''Scott Pilgrim'' is an award-winning indie comic book series by Creator/BryanLeeOMalley and published by Creator/OniPress about a [[UsefulNotes/{{Canada}} Canadian]] slacker of the same name. Scott's comfortable life mooching off his friends and roommate is thrown into chaos when [[McNinja American ninja]] delivery girl Ramona V. Flowers moves into town and starts using his dreams as a shortcut to other places. To be free to date her, Scott has to defeat her seven evil exes in battle (they have a [[WeirdTradeUnion league]]) and quite possibly get a life.

[[TheFilmOfTheBook The film version]], ''Film/ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld'', was directed by Creator/EdgarWright and starring Creator/MichaelCera and Creator/MaryElizabethWinstead and released on August 13, 2010.

[[VideoGame/ScottPilgrim It was also adapted into a side-scrolling beat-'em-up by UbiSoft]], with sprite work by Creator/PaulRobertson and music by Music/{{Anamanaguchi}}. The author, Creator/BryanLeeOMalley, was heavily involved in both adaptations.

* BlackAndGreyMorality: It's pretty obvious from day one that Scott is kind of an asshole, but you still root for him, seeing as how his enemies, with one or two possible exceptions, are way more unpleasant than he is, and because the the trials he faces make him gradually grow out of being an asshole.

* MeaningfulName: Kim Pine [[spoiler:is pining for Scott]] and Knives Chau fights with knives. Scott Pilgrim is another: the book is all about his ''pilgrimage'' from self serving slacker to... well, someone approaching a responsible adult, anyway.

* MediumAwareness: Scott apparently learns that Knives has turned 18 the same way that the reader does: by reading the caption above her head.

** Between Kim and Scott. It's pretty subtle at first, but starts becoming more visible by the third volume and comes to a head by the end of the fifth.

** He ends up re-attempting this on ''Envy''.

** Knives Chau is a TropeCodifer of this for Western audiences, developing into this after she started JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope.

** [[BigBad Gideon Graves]] is a darker version, having his first six ex-girlfriends as HumanPopsicles (he wants Ramona to be the [[ArcNumber seventh).

* {{Yandere}}: Knives didn't take her break up with Scott too well. It's normal to stalk your ex and attack his new girlfriend with daggers, right? Right? Hello? Is this thing on?

* MistakenForGay: When Ramona first visits Scott's house, she notes that he and Wallace sleep in the same bed. He's quick to note that's only because ThereIsOnlyOneBed.

* MundaneMacGuffinPerson: Ramona Flowers. The protagonist must go through several obstacles to be with her, but we are shown very little about the relationship, or even Ramona Flowers herself, except that [[InformedAbility we are assured of her awesomeness]].

** Most of the characters are named after a famous song or band, as the bonus materials at the end of Volume 3 show. Scott himself is named after a song by the band Plumtree.

* NinetyPercentOfYourBrain is filled with curds and whey, which is why Todd's veganism allows him psychic powers.

** Knives gets [[{{Yandere}} a little psychotic]] for a while after Scott breaks up with her, trying to do as much as possible to get him back, be it [[spoiler:trying to kill off Ramona or simply pretend to date Neil]].

* ComedicSociopathy: No one ever seems that concerned that Scott is apparently ''killing'' Ramona's exes in his battles with them. Even random bystanders don't seem to care. Indeed, Envy seems more glum and annoyed with Scott than horrified when Scott caused Todd, her boyfriend, to explode into coins.
