* FaceHeelRevolvingDoor: Depends on who the narrator is, but is also accompanied by her constant flips. She was with Hunter's alliance until the rowdy upstarts kicked him off. Then she distanced herself from the underdog Maaramus in the hopes that they'd leave before she did. She teams up with Sean, who becomes the season's hero after John's elimination, before going heel and betraying Kathy during the FIC.

* ManipulativeBastard: Besides backstabbing alliance members effectively, she also mentioned starting fights between tribe members that she would stay out of in order to keep pressure on the other players in the game.

* DiggingYourselfDeeper: Was completely incapable of answering jury questions at the final Tribal Council in a way that didn't sound like pandering to the jury, which led to 3/4ths of the Rotu alliance voting for Vecepia (who was fully willing to admit that she played the game and had a strategy from day one).

* CharacterDevelopment: Kathy starts out this season as being seen by her tribe as "that blonde, bitchy person"(her own words) and ends it by being seen by the jury as the overall best player who ''just'' missed the cut (at winning) after being betrayed by Neleh and Vee.

* GracefulLoser: Although she was rather shell shocked afterwards.

* NeverMessWithGranny: Ended up being the most pivotal player when it came down to just the alliance that formed to get rid of the Rotu alliance. Sean putting words in her mouth at Tribal Council when she was the swing vote sealed his fate, and the knowledge that she wasn't going to be able to break up Paschal and Neleh's alliance led to Pappy's ShockingElimination. She's also won the most individual challenges with four(2 immunity and 2 reward).

* FourIsDeath: Fourth placer in this fourth installment, and was eliminated in the most controversial way ever.

* {{Hypocrite}}: He wanted Sean and Vecepia to be split up because he assumed that they were so tight that they would never vote against each other. Not only is this a baseless accusation, as V was perfectly alright with placing both Sean and Rob on the chopping block , ''he and Neleh had the exact same agreement and they explicitly informed the other members about it.''

* BadassTeacher: Not only has he won a teacher of the year award, he's also one of the biggest challenge threats of the season.

* EverythingIsRacist: While he does make very valid points about the nature of implicit bias and that it's heavily implied is the reason why Paschal distrusted him and Vecepia, he also uses this for comedy. He pretended to be Reverend Al Sharpton when Hunter said black no-no flies are worse than the white one.

* ReligiousBruiser: Sean was a devout Christian and well as decent challenge competitor, the first words from his mouth after winning the car challenge.

* BadLiar: After the John's demise, he attempts to distance himself from the group by saying that he never gave his word and that he was going through the motions. Aside from the fact that the new five alliance don't buy it, the ''audience'' knows for a fact that what he's saying is not true.

* NiceHat: In game, a baseball cap.

* DrunkWithPower: What happen after the Gabriel blindside.

* {{Fingore}}: Happened twice in episode 3. A gets stabbed by a sea urchin the first time, then his finger tip gets split in half by an eel. The first one lead to the infamous peeing scene.

* DecoyProtagonist: Rob gets the spotlight in the first half of the season and his rivalry with John is built up as something that will blow up into all out war once the tribes merge. However, the conflict comes to a head immediately after the merge and Rob is voted out by John, leaving Kathy as the would-be protagonist of the season.

* SacrificialLion: One of the star players prior to his boot and he sows the seeds of discord that allowed John to be eliminated after him.

* OnlySaneMan: Gina saw herself as this when her tribe Maraamu voted out Hunter.
* RevengeBeforeReason: After the swap, she let her dislike of Sarah get in her way instead on teaming up and allying with Kathy. She was eliminated soon after.

* DiggingYourselfDeeper: When asked about what his game plan was, Gabe said he wasn't there to play the game. This would start his the events towards his elimination.

* SmallRoleBigImpact: Serves as one for the entire series. The Rotu tribe had zero reason to vote him out over outsiders Rob, Sean, and Vecepia. His elimination pretty much signalled not only John's need to feed his ego, but the idea that it doesn't matter if you're great at challenges, a provider, the heart of your tribe or just an all around good guy. If you're not with the numbers, you're gone.
** Even moreso, his elimination resulted in Neleh, Kathy and Paschal realizing something was very wrong back in Rotu (Neleh in particular was apparently on very good terms with them), and eventually played a major part in causing them all to decide to flip on the Rotu four, marking the first time people on the bottom of an alliance banded together with the outliers to seize control of the game. (Previously the majority alliance would Pagong the other tribe, with a rare alliance boot here and there until the endgame)
* SomethingCompletelyDifferent: Most players on Survivor are in it to win it. * FourIsDeath: Fourth person voted out in the fourth episode in the fourth season. When voted out, the vote was 4-1 and she was fourth Maraamu to leave the game.

* TheLoad: Because of being an LazyBum and Hunter thought she was distracting Rob. Even on the new Maraamu tribe, she didn't spend much time with the new members, leading to her getting eliminated.
* MsFanservice: Sarah was the first women to explicitly fill out this role.

* TheThingThatWouldNotLeave: The first ever "cockroach" player, Sarah was on the chopping block her entire existence and, despite Maraamu losing all their challenges, somehow lasted as long as she did.

* DecoyProtoganist: All-american, blonde guy with a great body and is liked by damn near everyone. Along with a lot of confessionals, the guy could have been this season's [[Characters/SurvivorTheAustralianOutback Colby]]. Rob, however, put a quick stop to that.

* CoolOldLady: The oldest women in the game.

* ShockingElimination: InUniverse. With three players from the other tribe(two of which are considered unlikable), few thought Gabe would be voted out.
