Misery's family. Their names are Morose, Migraine, Mildew, Malady, Mayhem, and Malaise.

* MeaningfulName: Malady (she's always sick) and Malaise (she's always sleepy due to her narcolepsy). Mayhem also counts since she causes mayhem wherever she goes, and Migraine due to her frequent shouting.

* SimpleStaff: Sometimes seen carrying a hooked staff wrapped in what appears to be barbed wire and with a tiny skull dangling from the end. No particular attention is ever really drawn to it, it's just something she sometimes has and sometimes doesn't. Fans believe it to be another implication that she's a banshee, as in folklore, banshees are sometimes believed to carry lanterns on the end of staffs to light graves.

* NiceHat: One of them wears a kick-ass fedora.

* CreepyCrows: He and his brothers fit in with the show's goth setting, but they're [[DarkIsNotEvil not really all that bad]].

* RapunzelHair: Reaches all the way down to her feet. It tends to get zapped off when she's struck by lightning, but grows back in the very next scene or even sometimes later in the same scene.

* VineSwing: Mayhem travels this way, complete with a Tarzan-like call.

* WalkingWasteland: Mirrors crack when she looks into them, walls crack as she walks by, etc. Almost everywhere she goes ends up damaged.

A sophisticated raven who lives in an attached addition to the mansion. As a true gentleman, Poe believes himself to be a model to the rest of the mansion, although he's not quite as cultured as he likes to think he is.

* ShockAndAwe: If there is a list of all the mishaps she endured, and how often each one happens to her, lightning strikes are likely on top of that list. She seems to avert this every Friday the 13th.

* CuteClumsyGirl: Usually her misfortune is just bad luck, but sometimes its due to her own clumsiness, or a combination of both.

A banshee-like creature with tears constantly streaming down her face. As her name suggests, Misery is always feeling down and anticipates the worst. Well, you would too if you had her luck.

* HalfDressedCartoonAnimal: He wears only a dark purple cape with a white dickey with a red bow, he wears a top hat with a navy blue ribbon, he also wears white gloves and he wears spats on his bare feet, but he no wears pants.
