** In Rise's route, she begins reconsidering her stance on opposing gender integration after causing a scandal in front of Rise, the Chairwoman, Masaya, and the Gardiane, no thanks to her slapping Rise in front of the latter three. By Chapter 25 of the same route, she doesn't even try to badmouth or look down on Rise and Masaya anymore, having come to accept the younger woman's points as valid.

* JerkassRealization: Misako eventually realizes that child abuse is bad in Ayaka's route. [[SarcasmMode Round of applause, everyone]].

* LoveAtFirstSight: [[spoiler:The first time she saw her husband, Kouji, who was Tomie's husband that time, she fell deeply in love with him to the point she wished she was the bride he was going to marry. Even then, when she came to see Tomie after hearing her terminal disease, she actually also wanted to see Kouji too.]]

* SelfServingMemory: [[spoiler:She seriously believes her terminally ill best friend had an affair that resulted in Ayaka, when it was blatantly hers as she was the one who gotten herself pregnant no thanks to Tomie's husband cheating on her.]]

* TookALevelInKindness: By the epilogues of the main story routes, she's become considerably nicer and more reasonable to Masaya and his friends. This is more evident in [[spoiler:Ayaka's route where she reconciles with her daughter and is slowly progressing to have a better family life with her daughters and her husband.]]
* WideEyedIdealist: She was this in her time at Vincennes. Even Kouji, Misako's husband, said she was totally different than the one we know as it was one of the reasons why he fell in love with her. [[spoiler:It's engaging in an affair with her best friend's husband, getting pregnant by him, and eventually giving birth to their child is when her mentality shattered.]]

* SympatheticAdulterer: Downplayed, [[spoiler:but Kouji seems legitimately regretful of his affair he had with Misako, mainly because he felt he drove Tomie to her death and had emotional strain. However, he did end up falling in love with Misako and marrying her but only because she became pregnant with Ayaka.]]
* TheLostLenore: [[spoiler:His first wife Tomie. While he did move on as he married Misako because he had gotten her pregnant and fell in love with her during his affair with her, he feels regretful for what he did to her by having an affair with Misako that possibly pushed her death and was genuinely saddened by her cancer that took her young life.]]

* FiveSecondForeshadowing: When Kouji remembers some words of what Tomie said to him like she thought Misako was her best friend and that she was glad Misako was taking care of Kouji. Later, the chairwoman reveals to Misako that Tomie knew the whole time the latter had an affair with Kouji when Tomie was in the hospital. This pretty much showed she knew her husband and best friend were having an affair behind her back.

* ExtremeDoormat: Kouji is a nice person, but he never stands up for Ayaka. [[spoiler:He goes along with what Misako says because Misako is crazy and he doesn't want to hurt her by reminding her that Ayaka is her own daughter, who was born from their adultery, not Tomie's.]]

* TheLostLenore: [[spoiler:His first wife Tomie. While he did move on as he married Misako because he had gotten her pregnant and fell in love with her, he feels regretful for what he did to her by having an affair with Misako and was genuinely saddened by her cancer that took her young life.]]

* AltarTheSpeed: Misako and her husband rushed their marriage forward to be immediately after the funeral of his wife, which a lot of people found highly disrespectful. [[spoiler:Couldn't help it, he'd gotten Misako pregnant.]]

* LoveAtFirstSight: [[spoiler: The first time she saw Kouji, Tomie's husband that time, she fell deeply in love with him to the point she wished she was the bride he was going to marry. Even then, when she came to see Tomie after hearing her terminal disease, she actually also wanted to see Kouji too.]]

* StrongFamilyResemblance: She has the same black hair and red eyes as her daughter Ritsuko. She also has a similar face to Ayaka despite not being related. [[spoiler: Makes sense since she is her first daughter.]]

* TookALevelInKindness: By the epilogues of the main story routes, she's become considerably nicer and more reasonable to Masaya and his friends.

* SecretKeeper: [[spoiler: She reveals to Misako she was informed by Tomie that she knew about the former's affair with Tomie's husband. She never gives the headmistress Tomie's final words if she forgave or hated her because she finds it useless when it's been around two decades since her death.]]

* HappilyMarried: Downplayed, but Kouji does genuinely love Misako despite her flaws and having to be her enabler with Ayaka. It's implied in Ayaka's W Happiness Route that their marriage will get better now [[spoiler: due to Misako finally accepting her sins and Ayaka as her daughter.]]

* LoveAtFirstSight: [[spoiler: While he still loved his first wife Tomie, he fell in love at first sight with Misako in the hospital. Unknown to him, he didn't know she was the same too, that she fell in love with him during his wedding.]]

Seeing how Misako is her mother, she also realized that Misako was absolutely determined to be with Kouji, despite him being married.]]

* DoesNotLikeMen: Misako seems to hate men, especially if at Vincennes. Ritsuko privately considers her mother’s distaste somewhat childish. [[spoiler: Which makes it more ironic that she fell deeply in love with her best friend's husband at first sight, who is now her husband, who she likely seduced when said friend is dying from terminal cancer, who then got pregnant. This is probably why she wants Ritsuko to be in an arranged marriage instead of making the mistakes she did.]]

[[spoiler:When Ayaka and Masaya realize the dates don’t match, her father admits that she’s actually Misako’s daughter after all, meaning her father impregnated Misako while still married to Tomie. Misako treating Ayaka terribly is just refusing to accept responsibility for her own actions.]]

* {{Keigo}}: Masaya finds Rise’s polite speech surprising. She isn’t aware that it’s unusual and actually isn’t a particularly formal person, immediately speaking to him on a FirstNameBasis. She was just raised that way.

* BladeOnAStick: She's in the school's naginata club, so she has a practice one. And she brings it with her to the ballroom dance in Chapter 5 in order to "duel" Masaya.

* ContraltoOfDanger: When sufficiently angered or provoked, her voice tone changes into a much deeper one, combined with TranquilFury.

* ADateWithRosiePalms: Mitsuki needs some alone time after seeing a couple fingering each other in the park, which makes her realize that eventually she’ll be doing similar things with Masaya. Though presumably not in public. She gets so wrapped up in it that she ends up late for a date, then has to go take a shower, making her even later.

* TheWomanWearingTheQueenlyMask: While Ayaka has rejected any sort of responsibility apart from what roles she chooses to take of her own free will, Ritsuko always has to act as people expect her to, which is becoming increasingly burdensome for her.

* NakedApron: [[spoiler: One of her love scenes in ''W Happiness'' has her wearing nothing but an apron while cooking for Masaya. Unsurprisingly, CoitusEnsues between her and Masaya.]]

* OffingTheOffspring: [[spoiler:Kaori tried to stab her daughter to death in the past.]]

* KnifeNut: [[spoiler:She tends to get a little stabby when she's holding a knife.]]

* WrongGenreSavvy: When Marika [[spoiler:is clearing Masaya’s name with the student body after accusations of rape]], one student says she’s read Shoujo manga where [[spoiler:[[BastardBoyfriend the rapist boyfriend breaks the heroine’s mind and makes them like being abused.]]]] Sorry, not that kind of game.

* BittersweetEnding: In Tamie’s route [[spoiler:they fail in the Grande Vote]] but it’s hardly the end of the world or their relationship. [[spoiler:They’ve already made plans to meet once a week throughout their senior year. After they graduate, they can easily meet again.]]
