Added DiffLines:

* AerithAndBob: The default player skins include names like Steve, Alex, and Sunny (which wouldn't be out-of-place names for American readers), alongside Ari, Kai, Noor, Zuri, Efe, and Makena (which are real names, but highly uncommon depending on where you live).

Added DiffLines:

* TheArtifact: Even though Steve's beard was removed in an early version of ''Minecraft'' Java Edition, marketing materials continued to feature a bearded Steve, causing this trope. (At least, until 1.19.3, when the in-game skin for Steve got its beard back.)

Added DiffLines:

* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Of all the default player skins, Steve is the only one who has facial hair.

An Axe To Grind is no longer a trope

* AnAxeToGrind: Axes are a perfectly viable primary weapon for them; they hit nearly twice as hard as swords, but swing slower. They can also disable the use of shields for an enemy player if a hit connects.

* WalkingArmory: [[HeroesPreferSwords Swords]] are typically their main weapons, but the sheer amount and variety of weapons they can carry and use at once is awe-inspiring: bows, crossbows, [[AnAxeToGrind battle axes]], tridents, [[TimeBomb bombs]], [[ThrowDownTheBomblet exploding potions]], ''[[PlayingWithFire fire]] [[ProjectileSpell charges]]'' and even ''[[SplashDamage explosive rockets]]''.

* AnimalLover: It's possible to make the player character befriend all of the villagers, wolves, cats, horses, and donkeys that they encounter ([[VideoGameCaringPotential for both practical reasons and for companionship]]). It's even possible to play as a vegetarian and abstain from killing passive mobs entirely, though this is slightly more difficult as plant-derived foods usually don't restore as much Hunger as meat, and many useful crafting items -- leather in particular, which is necessary for making books, which in turn make the bookshelves needed for enchanting -- can only be obtained by killing animals. ''[[VideoGameCrueltyPotential Alternatively]],'' it's possible to [[KillEmAll kill everything you encounter]].

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: They're not actively malevolent creatures, being that they only attack when you look them in the eyes, and their habit of stealing blocks seems more out of curiosity than out of any general ill-will. Misuse. A Big Bad is a villain who serves as the primary or ultimate cause of a story's conflict or bad events. It is not simply the strongest or final antagonist faced.

* AttackItsWeakPoint: There are crystals nearby that zap her with healing magic. She receives massive damage instead if you destroy a crystal mid-zap. However, unless you're really good at taking them out quickly, it's likely the rest of the crystals around the field will undo that damage. On the boss itself, her head takes more damage than the rest of her. The 1.9 update makes this even more difficult, as some of the crystals now have iron bars surrounding them.
** When it comes to attacking the Dragon itself, it'll heavily reduce damage taken from any attacks not aimed at its head or neck, making its head area the optimal place to strike.
* BigBad: She's what's stopping you from viewing the ending, and seems to be the most powerful being in the End. Given how said ending is a GainaxEnding, though, whether the dragon is the main antagonist in anything but ''gameplay'' is debatable. The Advancement for slaying the Ender Dragon is entitled "''Free The End''", implying that its existence isn't a good thing.

As before, Word Of God is off-limits as the sole source of material. Also, misuse of Eldritch Abomination; an Eldritch Abomination explicitly contradicts rules of reality as established in the setting and is difficult or impossible for characters to understand. The Dragon isn't that, it's just a big acid-spitting monster.

The first boss mob to be introduced to ''Minecraft'', and is sometimes acknowledged as the game's main antagonist. The Ender Dragon is a large black female dragon that lives at the End, which is also home to the Endermen.

* EldritchAbomination: She's not normal, even by Minecraft standards. Case in point, she's female... the only female in an entire game filled with [[OneGenderRace genderless lifeforms]]. She lives on a [[EldritchLocation barren island floating over an infinite void surrounded by floating continents]]. Her acid is [[PurpleIsPowerful purple.]] Where she actually came from, how she got where she is, and what her plans are, are all [[OntologicalMystery complete unknowns]].

* SamusIsAGirl: Notch revealed in a Reddit interview that the Ender Dragon is female, though technically the game made this clear on day one since she lays an egg upon death.

Word Of God is Trivia, and not considered to be part of the work for purposes of writing examples. This is especially the case for one-off, decade-old internet comments by people who are no longer involved in the work in any way.
