* AmbiguouslyBrown: Has a dark brown skin color. While it's implied that Japan has become more racially diverse in this setting, it's unknown what her exact ethnicity is. One possibility is that she's [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melanesians Melanesian]], a group of people living in a patch of Oceania stretching from New Guinea to Fiji. Melanesians, especially Soloman Islanders, are one of the few nonwhite ethnic groups to have naturally-occurring blond hair. Of note is that in the live-action adaptation, she's portrayed by a Japanese actress; compare this to Sowande, who in the same adaptation is portrayed by a half Ghanaian, half Japanese actress.

* MultiEthnicName: Her family name is Japanese, while her given name is Yoruba (a language spoken in West Africa, primarily by the Yoruba people of Nigeria and Benin). This implies that she has mixed ancestry, which wouldn't be unusual since Japan seems to be more racially diverse in this story.

* MultiEthnicName: Doumeki's family name is Japanese, while her given name, Parker, is English in origin (specifically being traceable to [[UsefulNotes/HistoryOfEnglish Old English]]).

Renamed to Short Teens Tall Adults per TRS. Removing any misuse.

* TeensAreShort: While anyone would look short next to Kanamori, Asakusa is ''tiny'' for her age. If one goes by Kanamori's official height (5'11) and [[https://www-animeherald-com.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Keep-Your-Hands-off-Eizouken-Episode-2-Still-002-20200124.jpg?strip=all&lossy=1&ssl=1 this picture]], she's at best ''4'6''.

Per TRS, removing Doing It For The Art misuse and ZCEs

* DoingItForTheArt: InUniverse, this is her primary motivation for wanting to make animation, despite coming from a wealthy family and already being a well-known fashion model. However, it's also deconstructed: her obsession with crafting highly detailed character animation with an emphasis on realism make it difficult for her to make necessary compromises so each production is ''finished,'' and even then her caring more about the animation than the anime itself causes her to oftentimes find difficulty in seeing the forest for the trees.

Keigo has been disambiguated

* {{Keigo}}: She mostly speaks very properly even if everything about her posture, attitude, tone and what she's saying is meant to be confrontational or disinterested; considering that this includes using the ultra-formal and scarcely-used-in-conversation honorific "-shi," her tendency towards this trope may play into her DeadpanSnarker attitude.

Fashion Model is no longer a trope

* FashionModel: She's a teen model, and she's already famous for it. Not only is she well-known at school, to the point where her involvement in the Robot Club's anime is used as its key selling point during the Culture Festival, but when the girls take a trip to Asakusa's place, the train car they're in has ads with Mizusaki in them plastered everywhere and two fans ask to shake hands with her. However, she'd much rather be an animator than a model, expressing irritation at Kanamori's persistent use of her fame as a model as a selling point for the Motion Picture Club's material, and [[https://randomc.net/image/Eizouken%20ni%20wa%20Te%20wo%20Dasu%20na!/Eizouken%20ni%20wa%20Te%20wo%20Dasu%20na!%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2013.jpg looks]] like a StepfordSmiler when she's actually seen modelling in Episode 10.

Ambiguous Disorder is not a trope anymore, but a redirect to a YMMV entry.

* AuthorAvatar: Appears to be a loose one for Sumito Owara, the manga's author; in an interview with Japanese media outlet ''Livedoor'', Owara stated that he struggled in school due to his ADHD and used drawing as a means of coping with it, eventually joining his high school's motion picture club, all of which is similarly reflected in Asakusa's character arc throughout the story (though in Asakusa's case, whether or not she also has ADHD-- or any developmental disorder, for that matter-- [[AmbiguousDisorder isn't explicitly spelled out]]). Unlike most other examples of this trope, Asakusa isn't meant to be a direct representation of Owara himself, and is something closer to a gender-swapped fictionalization.

Ambiguous Disorder has been renamed Diagnosed By The Audience and is now YMMV. Moving and adjusting accordingly.

* AmbiguousDisorder: A lot of her behavior [[note]] Her "childish" behavior, tendency to get lost in fantasies, strong attachment to certain objects (with a heavy emphasis on tactile sensation), hyperfixation on certain topics, love of worldbuilding above all else in narrative-making, tendency to ramble on about topics she finds interesting without noticing right away when others are losing interest, occasional displays of stimming, and difficulty around strangers (including a tendency to rely on scripts when interacting with them and becoming heavily anxious when the conversation goes off-script) [[/note]] are traits common among people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or ADHD [[note]] The two conditions have several overlaps in symptoms and can either co-occur with one another or be misdiagnosed between each other as a result [[/note]]. The story doesn't delve into any formal diagnosis, since it's primarily comedic, but author Sumito Owara has stated that he in part based Asakusa on his own experiences with autism and ADHD [[note]] In an interview Japanese outlet ''Livedoor'' he stated that he has a "developmental disorder" that previously impeded his academic performance growing up, and [[https://twitter.com/dennou319/status/1110565948153430016 specified on]] [[https://twitter.com/dennou319/status/1240489281308594177 Twitter]] that it was a co-occurrence of autism and ADHD [[/note]].

* AmbiguousDisorder: Much like with Asakusa, Mizusaki shows several characteristics that imply that she's autistic. A major characteristic is how she'd always replay videos, or request people to repeat a specific body movement, so she can analyze and copy said action; a common trait for autistic people is how they'd repeat a particular clip or video if the scene strikes their interest. Other traits include how she info-dumps when it comes to discussing body movements, her fixation on character animation to the point of being visibly distressed when her ability to engage in it is threatened, her tendency to act in ways that allistic individuals would perceive as childish, and her displays of apparent echolalia and echopraxia in episode 3, repeating several of Asakusa's words and body movements. Compared to Asakusa, Mizusaki seems to more easily pass as neurotypical, as displayed by her more subdued and professional demeanor around fans, but more readily opens up when around people she considers close enough to trust, a trait common among "neurotypical-passing" autistic individuals.

Badass Mustache and Badass Beard were merged into Manly Facial Hair. Examples that don't fit or are zero-context are removed. Having facial hair is not enough to qualify. To qualify for Manly Facial Hair, the facial hair must be associated with manliness in some way. Please read the trope description before re-adding to make sure the example qualifies.

* BadassMustache: He has an incredibly bushy and glorious beard that, as stated on the anime's website, makes him look like a famous historical figure. Which historical figure, however, is left to the viewer's decision.
