Goro's dedication to Kitaoka came from a sense of guilt: Kitaoka had defended Goro in court against a false charge instead of attending a medical examination that could have detected his cancer and saved his life. Kitaoka holds no grudge against Goro, but the young man feels beholden to Kitaoka. At one point, Goro nearly murders Asakura to protect his master. But Kitaoka stops him, knowing that the act would have shattered Goro emotionally and gently telling him that it was not his duty to fight his battles for him.

Taken UpToEleven in the last episode, where he takes up Kitaoka's identity as Zolda to fight Asakura in his master's place. Despite giving Asakura a good fight, Goro dies and Asakura is DrivenToSuicide out of sheer dissatisfaction, showing that he did not think much of Goro despite the challenging fight if that didn't mean killing Kitaoka.

* PowerCopying: Like Raia, his Copy Vent copies an opponent’s weapon, though his use as an added benefit of copying the entire Rider, as he managed to copy Knight’s entire appearance.

* DragonRider: While his normal form focuses on the Knight aspect, [[SuperMode Survive Form]]'s aesthetic is that of a Dragon Rider, made all the more appropriate when he can jump on his now evolved Dra Granzer and have him [[TransformingMecha transform into a bike]].

* InvincibleVillain: Even though the Rider War doesn't go entirely the way he wants it to, there is '''NOTHING''' that any of the riders can do against him. He's a [[OurGhostsAreDifferent ghost]], so they can't attack him, he controls the single most powerful Rider, so should they even try they're almost certainly going to fail. It isn't until the finale where it's even hinted that things won't go the way he planned them.

* HypercompetentSidekick: He's Kitaoka's personal butler, secretary, bodyguard, photographer, driver, cook , errand boy, and his best friend.

* LegacyCharacter: In the 13 Riders special, he inherited his deck from the original Ryuki, Koichi Sakakibara.

This arguably made him the most popular character of this series and caused him not only to reappear in Series/KamenRiderDecade, but also in Series/KamenRiderExAid with the actor fully returning in person instead of just voice like Decade.

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: While not exactly the last Rider to appear in ''Ryuki''[[note]]Production-wise, it's Verde who became the 13th Rider; story-wise, Odin is intended to be the 13th Rider[[/note]], he's this as he's the only Rider to come from Mirror World.
