After they became friends, Mikoto found himself enjoying a world in which the Shimon he loved died and started considering living a normal life in that world. * TameHisAnger: Early in the series, Watanuki is a short-tempered and reckless guy who wants to defeat Soushi because the latter hurt his pride once and tries to fight youkai even though his tanuki form is too weak for that. In the final act of the series, Watanaki has become much more mature, levelheaded, and rational as he accepts others must handle the fighting and he must focus on what he can do to protect his friends and stop Mikoto.
