** ThirdOptionAdaptation: Dracumon's default evolutions in the games and cardgame are Sangloupmon (a vampire wolf) and Matadormon (a vampiric matador). Here, he evolves into Yaksamon, a kendo demon. This is actually given an InUniverse explanation in that instead of Dracumon evolving normally, Ren and Tobari ''stole'' the evolution that was building in Kotemon the kendo Digimon for themselves.

A mysterious duo who watch over the Hunter games and give Xros Loaders to whomever wishes to join. His intentions are initially unknown and seem almost sinister.

* {{Expy}}: Clockmon is one to the Monitormon from ''[[Anime/DigimonFusion Fusion]]'', right down to having the same voice actor. It's also an expy of the earlier Clockmon species, as this one has the subtle difference of not having some hooded guy sticking out of its top.

* MythologyGag: He spontaneously appears before Mizuki, fishing on a rock, to give her a Xros Loader. Yushima once spontaneously appeared before Masaru, whom he earlier gave a Digivice, apparently fishing; on the other hand, that wasn't in the middle of the ocean.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: No-one can decide on a consistent translation of his listed name (時計屋のおやじ) - so you've got such diverse terms as Watch Man, Watchmaker, Old Clock Shop Man, Old Clock Store Owner, ad infinitum.

Another one of Taiki's friends from the war against the Bagra Army. Zenjirou originally had no idea of what was occurring in [=DigiQuartz=], but then found out from Taiki after the ordeal with [=SuperStarmon=]. In the end, he gets his wish and gets a X Loader, becoming a Hunter and the partner of Ballistamon.

Yuu's older sister, who served as a General of Xros Heart in the war against the Bagra Empire. In the year since, she's made a name for herself in Hong Kong as an idol singer. Though initially unaware of [=DigiQuartz=] or the Digimon Hunts, Nene found herself being stalked by a mysterious masked man and a Digimon named Harpymon, and contacted her brother and the rest of Xros Heart to help her. Harpymon was stopped, and the masked man was revealed to be Yuu and Nene's father, who had been manipulated by Harpymon into being overprotective of her. Nene and her father reconciled, and she returned to her idol career.

* CelebrityIsOverrated: Averted. Nene is pretty happy with her career, and is shown as being rather competent and engaging in her work. Her father's ''belief'' in this trope, however, is what causes him to fall prey to Harpymon.

* EldritchAbomination: He's one of the most bizzare and nightmarish Digimon in the franchise's history, and looks less like a legitimate Digimon but an outright abomination in the likes of the D-Reaper.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: The floating islands that seem to be spawned by Quartzmon appear in the opening of the series long before first one of them appears in the series proper.

* HostageSituation: He's one of the very few Digimon villains to ever use hostages as threats. When Tagiru seemingly gains the upper hand, Quartzmon shows the faces and bodies of the numerous victims he absorbed to him, threatening that if he would hit him all of his friends will die. He then gleefully takes advantage of the distraction to seemingly kill Tagiru.

* MultiArmedAndDangerous: He has four long, thin arms and he's a very bizzare and dangerous Digimon.

* OneWingedAngel: It first takes the form of Astamon. Once he shows his true colors, he merges into the sphere and turns into his true form, a bizzare, chalk-white creature on top of a globe.

%%A self proclaimed "Spirit Hunter" that investigates paranormal activities in order to prove that they can be explained through science. She enters an abandoned Power Plant with Yuu and Tagiru in order to explain the mysterious ghost sightings seen recently. She eventually finds the "ghost"--a Patamon-- and frees it from the trap that Airu had put it in.
