Unlike most of the other high-schoolers in the series (that aren't known to be privy to Conan secretly being Shinichi), Sera treats Conan like a friend more her own age instead of a child ten years younger. ** All but outright confirmed that Sera knows Conan is actually her age. She still has the distinction of very openly treating Conan as an equal in any and all situations without tiptoeing around the issue. This is the friendliness that has had Sonoko teasingly label Sera a paedophile.
