After [[TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask Link]] was abruptly returned to his home universe by the Golden Goddesses, they were placed in the delicate position of having to select a new Champion to satisfy the powers which ran the second Game - and thus replaced Hero with Hero. This Link, though similar to his ancestor in many ways, lacks much of the emotional burdens that the Hero of Time carried, and is thus a much kinder and well-adjusted individual. However, his skills are not to be scoffed at - he is just as deadly as the Legendary Hero whose name and mark he bears, and he ''will'' deal with evil accordingly.

Returning as his younger/older self, as portrayed in TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask, Link is back, with a whole new set of equipment, more skills - and other things besides.

Sometime after [[LateArrivalSpoiler the death of Makoto Yuki at the end of Persona 3]], Elizabeth chose to leave the Velvet Room in search of a way to save him from his fate as the Great Seal. After [[Persona4Arena a few misadventures]] involving new and old Persona-users, she realized that the true strength of the Wild Card, the strength that she would need to carry out her task, lay in the bonds that it's bearer had with those around him. Resolving to gain such bonds for herself, she awakened to her own Fool Arcana for the first time. Shortly afterwards she was dragged into Omega's games, which is actually quite convenient for her; it's a whole bunch of people to befriend!

Swain encountered the Champions when a portal sent them to his world for the LeagueOfLegends challenge, and he fought alongside them in an effort to defeat the emissaries of the Void; he had not expected their appearance and intervention, though he took both in stride, and was certainly not expecting to get dragged along for the ride when the challenge ended prematurely. Confused and baffled at first by this drastic change in circumstances, Swain now travels the multiverse with the Champions, all the while plotting ways to return home...or potentially turn this situation to his--and by extension, Noxus'--advantage...

When they met up with the rest of the incoming group, she stayed mostly level, but had phone making snarky remarks at her new comrades.

A reploid hailed as a hero by the Resistance against Neo Arcadia. Originally created by Dr. Wily, Zero was one of the heroes of the Maverick wars, but in the next major conflict, the Elf Wars, his body was [[spoiler:stolen by Dr. Wiel, the war's instigator, and used as a vessel for his ultimate creation, Omega. Zero's current body is actually a copy.]] Despite this, Zero is still more than capable of living up to his old potential. After foiling Dr. Wiel's plans to merge the Dark Elf with Omega, in which Zero managed to destroy the destructive reploid for good, Zero had returned to his duties as a member of the Resistance. But during a routine mission, he was trapped in a Neo Arcadian base as it collapsed by a strange energy interference. As he tried to escape, the floor he was on collapsed and sent him falling into an energy vortex that sent him to another world. He is from the same world as Grey, but several centuries earlier in the timeline.

Hidari Shotaro was Narumi's apprentice who took over for Narumi after he died. Shotaro, along with some other friends, managed to stop the Dopant crimewave. While normally Shotaro transforms into Kamen Rider Double, his partner, Phillip, ceased to exist and thus transforming into Double was impossible. However, through the Lost Driver that his mentor once used, Shotaro takes the Joker Memory and becomes Kamen Rider Joker. During his last case as Kamen Rider Joker, he took down a rising crime syndicate, EXE, only to find out that he didn't take out their leader. He was attacked by the leader and then blacked out, presumed to be dead. However, he was alive. Just in a different world, about to play a role his mentor played before... Champion...

Through the power of the Joker Memory and the Lost Driver, Shotaro uses the power of the Joker Memory to its full potential. When the Memory is placed into the Maximum Slot, Joker executes either a Rider Punch or Rider Kick Maximum Drive. He carries with him the Lost Driver alongside the Joker Memory sticks. To transform, Shotaro places the Joker Memory in the Memory Slot to transform into Kamen Rider Joker.

During his stay in [[WesternAnimation/BeastMachines Cybertron]], Shotaro was captured by Megatron and was converted into a Vehicon, complete with his own Personality Shell named Dubix. When Shotaro took back control of his body, Dubix followed him back. Every now and then, he would tempt Shotaro to give him control so that he may exact justice.

However, in the middle of serving [[BrutalLegend The Tainted Coil]], Shotaro managed to tell him how he views Fluttershy as something to protect, which sparked something in Dubix as he dedicates some time in trying to save Fluttershy. This eventually caused Dubix to lessen up in being so evil and helps out Shotaro confront the Doctor. This new partnership granted him three Gaia Memories: [[BlowYouAway Cyclone]], [[PlayingWithFire Heat]], and [[RubberMan Luna]], which he uses to help grant Kamen Rider Joker's Double Form.

Mehir is a Summoner: a member of the the human nation of Al-kajima, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin who are renowned for their Summoning spells]]. The Kajimans resided in a world called Al-'Allam[[note]]Arabic for 'the world'[[/note]], where numerous magical races existed. Tired of fighting, they constructed a huge Circle around their nation and lifted it into the Blue Abyss. Because he went away to aid another nation, the Kharos, who were invaded by [[TheFairFolk the Tharis]], he and his soldiers were left stranded in Al-'Allam. Journeying to the mystical Sky Kingdom, he procured the Sun Ray, a Kahrosan artefact, for the Sky Kingdom's mage ruler Guru, in order to get his soldiers to their families. He resided in the Blue Abyss, and then the Doctor appeared, due to a malfunction of the TARDIS. He befriended him; then an Ultimate Being went crazy, and the Doctor helped him cure it, departing shortly afterwards. A year passed, and he was thrown to the Red Abyss due to a malfunctioning teleportation Circle; he was plucked from a middle of a fight with a [=DharmaRhami=] and a Great Efreet called Reficul to participate in this game of gods.

The Rhamis (singular Rhami) are a race of blue-skinned, woman-like, four-armed Magicals that inhabit the strange Plane known as the Blue Abyss. They have long been a Summoned species; other words, they have a long history of being [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Summoned]] by the Kajimans. They are ruled by the Ultimate Being Rashti, the Ultimate Rhami, and Mehir's lover / wife.
