* MoralDissonance: The JP as a whole outright ''refuse'' to help others. Even worse, they become angry and defensive when people tell them that they are capable of helping other people. Not necessarily even asking them for help, just pointing it out. Sure, their actual mission is admirable and important, and the anime justifies it thus, but the prevailing opinion even within the anime is that they don't need to be asshats about it.

Nothing in the ending, not even Hibiki\'s dialogue suggests this happens, especially since Yamato and Alcor remembers what happens and Yamato has the scar he has from the last episode. Not to mention the anime runs Off The Rails with almost all the games plot. So you can\'t even apply it. Not to mention Hibiki barely acts like his videogame counterpart.

** [[spoiler: The series makes the interesting choice of going with the worst possible ending in the game which leads into a canon ResetButton, and then instead of skipping back to the beginning of the series with minor adjustments as in the standard NewGamePlus, we're shown what appears to be the GoldenEnding, which normally takes its place upon a perfect playthrough. This implies but skips over an entirely new 13-episodes-worth series of NewGamePlus events taking place.]]

*** [[spoiler: The nature of the series implies that more cycles passed before the Triumphant ending took place, which would make the anime a prequel for the videogame. Though you wouldn't know it unless you played the videogame itself. Presumably, it took a lot more offscreen work to actually get there. ]]
