Not just a phenomenal Ling/Lan Fan or FMA fic, but a phenomenal fic, period. Incredible worldbuilding, great prose, and excellent character work—canon characters are in character, original characters that feel like they should be in canon. The plot involves court politics, intrigue, action, and a gorgeous slow burn romance, but the beating heart of it all is Lan Fan and her search for who she is. One of my favorite fanfics.
