FanficRecs Review by Squander
Though it sometimes delves into melodrama, everything that can be interpreted as cliché is woven so nicely together that it's still very pleasant. The characterization is awesome, and a hundred different things happen over the span of Scout and Sniper's tumultuous and rather believable relationship. If you like this pairing...seriously. It isn't perfect, but it's probably worth the 40 chapters.
FanficRecs A Diamond in the Rough
I've been reading fan fictions since people started posting them on the Internet, so I know a fantastic story when I find one. And Ceasefire/The Indiana Jones is one such gem. There are loads of decent reads at Fanfiction.Net and T F2chan, but nothing compares to this story.
The writer doesn't just take the Team Fortress 2 plot, setting, and characters and attach to it her own ideas of a good story. No, she elaborates on the existing device and makes it real. And it's well written—not just grammatically, but contextually. It stays in the boundaries of the pre-existing setting/idea of the game's established universe. She incorporates enough suspense and drama to make it interesting without sacrificing her characters' integrity. And uniquely, she gives these lifeless digital creations LIFE. You stop thinking of them as mere characters and begin to know them as individuals. It's that brilliantly written.
There is no story quite like this one and any other writer would be hard-pressed to present something of this magnitude as wonderfully as this writer has done! Kudos to Ding Dong Football and thanks for such a splendid story!
FanficRecs The Don Juan
Truly a great fic. She apparently wrote this fic over the course of nine months, and it shows throughout the story. Chapters don't necessarily reflect the order they were written in, but she, an already fantastic writer to begin with, improved drastically as time went on. It was interesting to see. By the end of the fic, I could see two Dingdongs based on the writing style alone. Jack and Lawrence, her Sniper and Scout, are very entertaining and are my favorite Sniper and Scout depicted in any TF 2 fanfic I have read. Even if you don't like the pairing, I suggest giving this fic a try. I didn't like it myself, but by the end of the third chapter, RED Sniper/BLU Scout were my new OTP.

The Indiana Jones, or Ceasefire, is absolutely the best fan fiction ever in existence. I try to read other fics but it's not even worth it because it isn't this one. I've read this story countless times, and I never get tired of it. I love it with all my heart. The story, the characters, and everything. The characters are beautifully complex. Every character has a detailed personality and are different from another. They are their own individuals while still remaining what they're meant to be. This is an actual story, not just some pointless smut. A beautiful story at that. I really cared about the characters and felt their struggles. God Bless Dingdongfootball and The Indiana Jones.
FanficRecs The Sniper/Scout story for the century!
I've never read anything like this before! Most of which, I read a lot of one shots with this pairing. However this one had started out as a one shot to where it kept on continuing! God, there is a lot of vocabulary, detail and metaphors that is being used to describe so much love for these two men! It may have been huge story but it was worth reading each chapter to where I'm on the edge for each scene that these two may have share a moment of war or peace!

The characterization is stunning. You can always tell who is speaking, and they retain their ingame identities without being cumbersome, unrealistic, or annoying. It's pretty cool. Definitely one of the few good fics in the TF2 fandom, if not the best. Which is surprising, considering it's Sniper/Scout. Definitely worth a read.
