Despite the story's synopsis, the current progression has just stopped at where Luffy—or rather, Monkey D. Wyvern, Garp's second son—adopts Ace and agrees to pose as his birth father. The abundance of writing in the six chapters up to that are an engaging and well-written look at how events would unfold if Luffy was reborn with all of his prior knowledge from infancy, showing a good dynamic with his brother Dragon and an entertaining look at him meeting the once and once again King of the Pirates before his death.
I would love to see where the story goes from here. But the conclusion of Chapter 6 is climactic enough that if that's where the story ends, I can be satisfied.
