I really liked this fanfic because the crossover premise and the two shows together sounds unusual but totally makes sense in writing. Grant a Wish by Mon-Ra is a well-researched fic that gets both shows' moods and characterization right and gives equal opportunity for both characters and worlds to shine.
White Julian as the main antagonist of the fic takes another level in bad-assery and the fic even kind of predicts some things that happened in the Randy cunningham finale. The characters from TLATOJL make references to things that have happened in their show and stay in-character throughout the fic. The mood of the fic itself borders on adventure/fantasy and humor, with a plot that is interesting to follow and a dash of camaraderie. The events that happen in the fic are things a reader can really imagine happening within the world set up by the fic and it establishes both shows really close to their original counterparts.
I also loved how the banter and relationship between the main characters, June Learned a few things, Randy grew a little and the action scenes were really awesome!
There are a few grammar and sentence mistakes here and there but they don't really detract from the fic itself.
So an 8/10. Would (and have) read it again. This troper also recommends it to fans of even just either of the shows.
FanficRecs Grant a Wish - so far the best completed crossover fic to include Juniper Lee
