"Beelzebug" is not so much about an "Alleged Car" as it is about the character being one of those weirdos (who do in fact exist) that prefer old cars over new. It isn't that he thinks the Pseudo Beetle is a clunker, or even that it isn't nice. It's that it doesn't count as a Beetle; it's a forgery.
