Removed the following:

  • In Fable, there are two types of optional quests, good and bad. The bad quests can go as extreme as murdering every innocent civilian in an entire settlement in cold blood (who will beg for mercy and everything). The thing is, the game does not make entirely clear in the quest choice list which quests are "good" and which are "bad". You can accidentally choose a bad quest without meaning to. Ok, no such a big deal, just cancel it or don't complete it? Nope. Once a quest has been selected, there's no way to cancel it. If the location of the quest happens to be in your main storyline path, and there's no way around it, you are forced to do the quest, or you cannot proceed. Unless you have a savegame from before selecting the quest, you have no other option than murder all those innocent civilians if you want to continue the game, who will scream and beg for their lives and ask you why you are doing this to them. Good luck having a good night's sleep afterwards.

This fails on several levels. First and foremost is that this isn't an example of this trope since you don't have to be cruel, if you chose the right paths. Secondly, the options aren't that complicated. Most of the time the descriptions themselves make it obvious which one is good (protecting farmer = good, helping robbers = bad), and even if there are any that aren't as obvious as that, the rewards tell you if it nets you positive or negative karma. I played through the game as heroic and never had any problems only chosing the good options.

God this trope description doesnt seem to be sure o f what it wants the trope to be, and the examples are even WORSE.If we go by the trope name it SEEMS to imply you are rewarded/encouraged to be mean/cruel and/or that its the correct/only option. But it flip/flops between that and just "Its possible to be mean" with no explanation. Even worse when you read that you are rewarded "LESS" when you are mean which is Video Game Cruelty Punishment and not this trope. The examples just go for generic "Its possible to be mean"
