This page is a complete mess and needs massive pruning. The original trope specifies an "audience well-divorced from the production source, particularly if the show is released in other countries." This section completely disregards that. So for example,

ACTUAL EXAMPLES: Morrissey's Latino fanbase, Bryan Adams in Nepal, Shonen Knife in the US,

NON-EXAMPLES: Rihanna — while originally from Barbados, she has lived in the US for her entire career, tours in the US is signed to a US label, releases her music primarily to the US market, US radio, US television... the US is her home market. The same goes for Adele, Lorde, Nicki Minaj, etc.

I finally organized the page! There may be more than be done to refine it, and possibly some more entries that can be dropped, but hopefully this is a start to make the page way more useful.

Edited this:

  • There's a canadian Progressive Rock band named Saga, which almost nobody has heard about. This isn't the case in Puerto Rico, where the band is so popular they even were given the keys to the city by the current president. Granted, the band is not bad at all, but they were overshadowed in the local and worldwide prog rock scene by their contemporaries, a simple rock trio who were later known as Rush.

There's no President of Puerto Rico, so I assume the editor meant the Mayor of San Juan.
