Also, to take issue with your earlier phrasing, Karxrida, Marill being thought of as a Pikaclone isn\\\'t \\\"bad Fanon.\\\" Marill\\\'s old \\\"Pikablu\\\" roots go way back, with many, many publications using the name as a placeholder at the very least. There\\\'s even an old officially licensed card that uses the name (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_the_First_Movie_Trading_Cards), even if only in error. Besides, if the introduction to the family is allowed to mention the Pikablu name (which it currently still does), isn\\\'t it a double standard to cut out all further mention of similarity from the rest?

I\\\'m not asking to re-introduce the things that were cut; I\\\'m perfectly fine with that decision, and think the new Expy line is damn solid. I just think that with Marill, the line between what\\\'s official and what\\\'s fanon is a little blurry.
