**Oddly enough, X-23 looks a lot like Dr. Kinney, despite not being genetically related to her at all. And aside from the claws she doesn\\\'t resemble Logan at all. That\\\'s probably just {{fanservice}} (Dr. Kinney is hot; Wolverine...isn\\\'t), but it\\\'s still odd that just removing Logan\\\'s Y chromosome and replacing it with a double of his X chromosome turns a short, stocky guy with way too much hair into a slender hottie who\\\'s noticeably taller than him.
***The height could perhaps be explained by better nutrition, though. Logan\\\'s over a century old, so he would\\\'ve reached adulthood back in a time when his height wasn\\\'t so far below average.
**** Expanding on this, how one looks isn\\\'t simply a matter of genetics, but also strongly affected by one\\\'s development and environment. In fact, given that X-23 would be expected to have been given the best physical development environment they could provide, it would be unrealistic if she didn\\\'t end up looking better than her father. Of course, it depends on how the healing factor works. If it restored you to a \\\"most perfect\\\" expression of your genes, then they should be fairly equal in phenotype. We don\\\'t have that level of detail into the topic, though. (Yes, I think about this stuff \\\'\\\'way\\\'\\\' too much.)
** Wait, what? [[DidNotDoTheResearch Wolverine\\\'s mutation is his]] HealingFactor, the claws are implants, made of adamantium, the strongest metal known.
*** WRONGO! His mutation has two parts. One is healing, the other is claws. The adamantium didn\\\'t \\\'\\\'make\\\'\\\' the claws, it just covered existing claws of bone in adamantium.
**** I wouldn\\\'t be so fast with the caps. Some stories specifically stated that the claws were not a mutation. This concept, like most things Wolverine, is a Retcon. It is now canon that Wolverine had claws before adamantium, but in earlier years this was not the case.
