I don\'t think this trope is sexist because of how women can\'t keep their cool, since males and females can have bad tempers, which is why both males and females can be victims of abusive relationships. It\'s sexist because it\'s just another way of villainizing women for having tempers, to me. For example, Chris Brown and Bobby Brown were the temperamental ones in their relationships. Also, Selena\'s father in the biopic film of Selena also fits, while his wife is sane most of the time.
