I\'m hesitant about replying to this, since I found it late and am not really into engaging with people who say they want to throttle me, but seriously:
1) this is a WIKI. If you disagree with the way something is put, you can edit. In fact, someone did, and made the main points much more effectively than my original version did.

It\\\'s still a pretty weak defense against somebody pointing out that something someone said is racist, sexist or whatever to go \\\"But some of my best friends are [insert category]\\\". That\\\'s kind of like saying straight people can\\\'t be sexist.
