In the Second Season premiere of Alphas, \\\"Wake Up Call\\\", the episode itself is a very subtle Crowning Moment of Awesome for Rosen, where he truly displays his Guile Hero abilities.
Since the end of the first season, to discredit him, the government discredited, had committed to an insane asylum (something the Soviets liked to do to this enemies) for eight months, pumped full of tranquilizers to cloud his thinking, forced to with doctors there trying to convince him that he is delusional about Alphas existing, and had all the dirty on him made public (a LSD arrest from decades ago, and false accusation by his ex-wife during their divorce).
In this a living hell, Rosen doesn\\\'t break. Instead he decides to be patient, using yoga, and a little help from his daughter visiting him, using her Alpha power to clear his mind temporally until the next drugging, to keep himself sane.
During this time of confinement, he does not act out, instead he even helps some of the workers their with their personal lives.
He is patient because he is genre savvy enough to know that the government cannot keep a lid on the Alphas forever, and when things blow up, the government will come to him, asking for help.
He is proven right. And when the government comes asking for his help, they will only get his help on HIS terms.
And he displays such style and manners when he does this.
By the end of the episode, he is released, has a full pardon, his old job back that pays very well, his team back together, with HIM deciding how the Alphas they catch will be handled, and he was able to get Gary out of his catatonic state.
If there is a polar opposite of Dr. Hannibal Lecter, Dr. Lee Rosen would be it.
And this is what makes Rosen such an awesome Guile Hero.
