Daniel Graystone\\\'s Cylon prototype only works in one unit. The combination of that particular robot body, a stolen processor, and (mainly) Zoe\\\'s avatar is what allows it to work. So, not literal magic, but Zoe\\\'s virtual essence seems to be the only thing making it work. Without her unique program, none of the Cylons work.

Although, YKTTW a child\\\'s soul powers a machine? This example might go better under that.
