Calling Mapleshade\\\'s kits \\\"half-Clan creatures\\\" is generally acknowledged as indefensible, but as WebAnimation/{{Moonkitti}} and others have pointed out, there was no reasonable way she could have saved the kits from drowning and she only attacked Mapleshade after being provoked. I\\\'ve also seen Russetfur, Rainflower, and Ashfur cited as getting into [=StarClan=] despite them respectively refusing to help Berrykit out of a fox trap, being an abusive mother, and attempting straight-up murder; in comparison, insulting some kittens once is a pretty minor crime.
