Said theory is the famed Genshin/Honkai theory, where it\\\'s speculated that \\\'\\\'Genshin Impact\\\'\\\' and \\\'\\\'VideoGame/HonkaiImpact3rd\\\'\\\' share the same universe due to Dvalin making a cameo in Otto Apocalypse\\\'s visions. Editors also like to use [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=40&v=XJaGQr8OX48&feature=youtu.be Mihoyo\\\'s livestream]] as WordOfGod evidence for the theory\\\'s credibility as well, given that one of the devs alluded to it in the commentary.
However, the theory itself runs afoul of Administrivia/SpeculativeTroping, which is a policy put in place to prevent speculative edits from being made. There are several problems with the Genshin/Honkai theory that dispute the credibility of it being 100% confirmed.
* Dvalin making a cameo. This is the big elephant in the room here because fans see it as hard evidence of the theory being \\\"confirmed\\\". However, this is actually not the case. Dvalin making a cameo is merely just a ShoutOut, because Mihoyo owns the rights to both [=IPs=] and can reference each other just for fun. It doesn\\\'t really prove anything because the intent is still uncertain.
* Mihoyo\\\'s livestream as \\\"WordOfGod\\\". The dev who spoken about it never really confirmed the theory outright. In it, he only said \\\"In one of the visions, there\\\'s Dvalin.\\\", and he said that in a very playful tone, implying he\\\'s just teasing the fans. He never said anything along the lines of \\\"Yes, Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd do take place in the same universe on the same tree\\\". Note the intent here. If the devs are merely just toying with their fans with more speculation, that is not the same as WordOfGod confirming fan expectations.
