The trope is defined as \\\"a moment when the writers pull something out of thin air in a less-than-graceful narrative development, violating the Law of Conservation of Detail by dropping a plot-critical detail in the middle, or near the end of their narrative without Foreshadowing or dropping a Chekhov\\\'s Gun earlier on.\\\"
The example even acknowledges that there are clues to the BigBad\\\'s identity which I feel kinda invalidates it being an AssPull since the creators had the foresight to plant those clues in the first place.
This makes it more a case of \\\"many felt\\\" the clues were too subtle without repeated viewings. I can kinda see that point but if the example is going to invoke the HiddenVillan trope, you can\\\'t expect those clues to be obvious. That the original example had opened with the phrase \\\"For Some\\\" really makes me feel this is not a clear and obvious demonstration of AssPull.
