I believe it's possible that it may have been intended for Faraam to be the name and identity of Gwyn's firstborn when Dark Souls II was being made. However, Dark Souls II was made by a different director than Dark Souls I. The director for Dark Souls I returned to direct Dark Souls III, however, and in III the description for the Faraam set changed Faraam from ''the'' god of war to ''a'' god of war. Being that this is the same game that introduced the Nameless King, and given how unusually clear it is that the Nameless King is meant to be Gwyn's first born (considering how vague everything tends to be in Dark Souls), that looks to me like a deliberate attempt to [[{{Jossed}} Joss]] the the Faraam = Gwyn's Firstborn theory.
