Could we put how Catriona is a very flat, Mary Sue-ish character that shows up just a few episodes from the end? She takes roles that could easily be taken by already-established characters and seems to serve as a faux strong female lead. I’m not sure if that’s because the season is so driven by female issues and rejection norms but it comes across as tired, cliche, and very forced. She also has a role in the final battle and gets to stand at the funeral at the end, despite not knowing anyone or really being important at all during the entire show’s run. I would have much preferred seeing Jekyll Hyde-out for the climax of the fight.
