But treating rape as a serious crime is not the same as \\\"Marvel thinks rape culture is a thing and made Jessica Jones as an allegory to it\\\".

Since this debate has overshadowed what the entire show is about and has become inextricably linked with it, it\\\'s certainly worth mentioning as culturally relevant. Kind of like Mad Max Fury Road and the debates over whether its feminist or not.

In fact, after looking at how Fury Road YMMV did it, here\\\'s what I suggest:

* First of all, remove this from SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped. Come on, listing it under this trope is the same as saying \\\"rape culture is a real thing, and those who think otherwise are in denial\\\". How is this not in violation of the RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgement?
** Adding it to Anvilicious is an option. Although I must admit if there was any deeper message beyond \\\"rape is bad\\\", I missed it. Maybe I\\\'m thick, but isn\\\'t the point of Anvilicious that it has to be really, really \\\'\\\'obvious\\\'\\\'? And if that honestly \\\'\\\'is\\\'\\\' the message, that\\\'s just a CaptainObviousAesop.
* Move it to WhatDoYouMeanItsNotPolitical. Maybe they wanted to raise awareness. Maybe they didn\\\'t. Fact is that a sizeable portion of the viewership think there\\\'s more to it than meets the eye.
* Move it to BrokenBase. That\\\'s what the trope is for. Clearly people disagree on whether this is an allegory of rape culture.

I agree that \\\"the feminist idea of rape culture\\\" has a dismissive tone and sounds inflammatory. But then so does \\\"the show is an allegory to rape culture\\\" because that\\\'s presenting an \\\'\\\'opinion\\\'\\\' as \\\'\\\'fact\\\'\\\'.
I honestly don\\\'t see the problem with \\\"the concept of rape culture\\\". That seems like a fairly neutral way to voice it, without supporting or dismissing either side.

Now, for those who want to \\\'disprove\\\' rape culture or, conversely, want to show how it\\\'s encompassed all aspects of society, this is not the place to discuss it. A blog or Facebook group might be more to your liking.
