openTEENAGE-YOUNG ADULT TV SHOW
Looking for a tv show aimed at older teenagers/young adults about a group of teenagers lives. There's quite a few seasons as they go through the lives of these people when they are a teenager leading into young adulthood. There were a few stand out moments through out the entire series such as a someone lying about being one of their brother's then threatening to kill her (one of the early seasons). In one of the later seasons I remember one of the original teenager's( who is now an adult) son's get kidnapped by their nanny.
openMUSIC VIDEO CLIP FROM THE EARLY-MID 2000's Music
So I know it isnt a tv show but I've had this music video stuck in my head for a long time, yet I cant remember the song or the lyrics. It started off with the singer (cant remember who but I know he was dark skin, like african american or maybe south african) and he worked at an icecream shop. He was in the car dreaming about this girl (the love interest) and was woken up by his mother who shouted at him to get his mind off of the girl and to get out and work. That's when the song started playing. If anyone can find this song you'd make me very happy!! It was on like one of those So Fresh type cds (I've already gone through the track list of every cd) and I think it was released around 2007 give or take a few years. Thanks :)
openPC Game based on bugs
It was this PC game, early 2000s. The protagonist is some kind of beetle. The main enemies are ants, but there are other hazards such as "giant" human feet in one level and fish that could swallow you in another. I remember you avoided the fish by riding another bug. There is another that takes place in a beehive. Drowning in honey is a hazard there. Does this ring a bell for anybody?
openA Final Fantasy 3 like RPG Videogame
Its a final fantasy 3 like rpg (top down view of characters walking over small scale world. turn based combat. four in a party), released somewhere around 2005-2007.
It is about a swordsman who wants to participate in a sword fighting tournament. I think he was named Random, but I am not sure. Some of the party members found early on included his girlfriend who was a mage. An older friend who is a brawler who joins after we have a round of hand wrensling. and a pet animal.
It was also released as freeware in the CD that came with either Chip or Digit magazines.
I seem to remember it having lots of parts (seven or eight).
EDIT: Second part of the game starts after the tournament ends, and hero fails. The party members go their different ways to train. Hero goes to a sword fighting school. The brawler goes to train in wrestling and so on.
Edited by NisheethPopenA comedy(?) show
It was named after the main character, who was a man, and I mean that in the sense of "firstname lastname", not simply that their name is included in a longer phrase (a la Buffy). I vaguely recall that it was apparently a comedy show, but I'm not 100% on that. I also got the impression that the show was relatively recent.
It was definitely a tv show, but I don't know what network.
That's about all I can remember. I never actually watched it; I merely heard it mentioned somewhere, and glanced at its Wikipedia page. I know it's not a lot to go on (and I'm sorry), but if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.
Edit: I sort of remember noticing that it had four seasons. Whether that means it had four and got cancelled, or is currently airing its fourth, I'm not sure.
Edited by VhinopenHorror movie with a water logged nun Film
I vaguely remember a horror movie I saw in childhood. It was about a group of young adults in an abandoned setting, perhaps a hospital, asylum, or jail. They individually encountered scary things, but I specifically remember a scene with a nun in what may have been a communal shower hanging upside down? I seem to remember her face appearing to be extremely bloated.
openCan't find this book... Literature
I read a book a couple of years ago that I don't remember and can't seem to find online. It was about putting on Fiddler on the Roof to save a dying performance hall? I'm 99% sure that's why it was done, either that or some unrelated fundraiser, either way they put on the play for a good cause and it was entirely put on and starred in by the townspeople. If I remember correctly, the main character did not live in the town, but was staying with her aunt and uncle for the summer or something, and she had a weird cousin who also happened to be a mathematician. The main character was female, as was the cousin. Also I distinctly remember an old guy named Bucky who was a great fiddler.
openSome old 1942 clone for PC Videogame
There was this game I played some times as a kid ages ago, following the 1942 formula (top down shmup, WW 2 planes, you could loop-the-loop to evade bullets, etc), it was probably for DOS (back when you didn't need a fucking 3rd party emulator to run DOS games), I think the main plane was not the P-38 like in 1942, or maybe you could pick your plane at the beginning, I can't really remember. I remember it had some nicely animated sprites, but it was dumb kid me, so take that with a grain of salt. This sounds vague but even googling just "ww2 shmup dos game", "dos 1942 clone", etc doesn't work for me. And it came in a magazine CD-ROM, so it was probably either freeware or shareware.
Edited by ElectricBoogalooopenClaymation about aliens Western Animation
I'm looking for a claymation tv series about aliens. There were a few of them living on a desert planet and at least one was a girl. Their headquarters (or home, or something. they hanged out there a lot) was underground with only a dome visible on the surface. They always looked outside with a periscope.
openChildren's TV show about hiding monsters Western Animation
So basically it was a show that aired probably either on Cartoon Network or Teletoon. It was about this teenage kid who was friends with monsters and had to hide them because they couldn't be seen by the public. I believe there was a Frankenstein character, and he may have lived inside the teenager's bedroom closet?
openNo Title
I have two that I'm looking for.
The first is a Star Wars song that's sort of reminiscent of "The saga begins" by Weird Al, but isn't it. I first heard the song back in about '06 or so, and only heard it the once. Star wars songs from that era would be appreciated.
The second is a live-action film about a boy who finds and raises a baby unicorn named Nico. It had a 90's film style. EDIT: SOLVED
Edited by raptyropenLine from a book Literature
There's a line I remember reading, almost certainly in the last 10 years, and I can't remember where I read it.
A villainous character is indulging his scientific curiosity about another character's condition (I don't recall what the exact situation is) and when they become uncomfortable with the situation he says something like "Just think of me as a doctor, except that I have no interest in whether you get better."
Since I read it, it's almost certainly science fiction and probably stands a good chance of being a Star Trek or Doctor Who novel.
open"ruesti"
Im not sure on the medium for this. Probably tabletop game or video game. All i remember is the word "ruesti", which might have been a character's name or might have been the name of a race of creatures. I tried googling it but only found it as a lot of people's surnames which didn't help. Sorry to be so vague but does anyone know what I am talking about?
open90's PC Real Time Tactics game Videogame
I remember a PC game from maybe mid to late 90's. It was probably a Windows 95/98 game.
I believe it was a real-time tactics game where you primarily controlled a squad of ... either Vikings, Barbarians, Norse Warriors ... big tough guys with swords. The graphics were isometric and as realistic as you could get for the time (not cartoony at all).
I think it had light fantasy elements: I remember clearly that one of your men was called a Journeyman, and I think he was a healer for your team. Your soldiers were mostly all generic (they might have had randomly-generated names, but not important). If anyone died, a voice would say in a monotone, "Casualty."
As far as I know, you just had your team fight enemies as presented by the mission. No base building. I'm not sure, but I think if you won the mission your guys would celebrate by clanging their swords against their shields.
opensong heard on a advertisement Music
I heard a song on an advertisement for PBS nature programs. Part of it goes (roughly) : 'Started in the water/Stranded on the sand' Another part is: 'Voices in the back row/Don't know what we don't know/We yell into the night'. Does anyone know the name of this song?
openCan't remember name...
There was a show I would watch many years ago, probably in the late 90s and early 2000s. I believe it was played on then-channel 73, which was Cartoon Network? Anyway, all I remember is that the characters would drive a flying car thing into the chest of large robots, like transformers. And then they'd get suited up in this weird form-fitting stuff and be able to control the robot. Basically, the robots would mimic whatever movements the controlling person made. I just don't remember anything else and I want to fit. Thanks
openRepetitive Love Song Music
Something I heard a very tiny snippet of. I am pretty sure the singer is female. What I managed to hear is a variation of this sentence repeated thrice. "I love you, and I lost you. It hurts."
Ideas?
openA videotape about military moving. Film
My dad used to be in the coast guard, and to deal with the constant moves, my parents bought me a video tape about kids who had to do many military moves and how they dealt with it. There was a kid named Eli, a black kid who played piano, a girl who said she liked "bagels on Sunday and the moon in [her] window, and other kids. There was a lot of singing too. Anyone know it?
Edited by Loopytires55openComic panel needs context Print Comic
Does anyone know the origin of this panel: [1]. Which didn't embed, but the link seems to work. It's a comic panel of a woman reading in bed, with the devil bursting in the window shrieking " HOOOOYARRRRRGH!! It's me, Satan!" "So?"

1. I remember these both air during Teletoon's Big Fright in 2004. One has a character thats a young boy, blonde hair, red hat on backwards, a green jersey. 2. Two skeletons cackling behind a broken window. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwVhRoDwbFc
As seen in this youtube video. At 0:22-0:25
