That's exactly right thanks.
So there was this country song I heard in 2002 that starts out talking about how the singer kept getting in trouble as a kid, which then led to the chorus (which was meant to be his dad talking) singing something about how dads always forgive. At the end of the song the protagonist dies and is at the gates to heaven and is afraid they won't let him in. Then he hears a voice (implied to be God) singing the same chorus about how dads always forgive. Even though I'm not a believer I always found this to be a very heartwarming song so I would like to find it if possible.
