Indeed. But it was new knowledge that somebody filmed the cut-down corpses of those hanged after being convicted at Nuremberg..
I saw a WWII Documentary on Amazon Prime about 5 years ago. I think it was made in the immediate aftermath of WWII, so likely '45 or '47. I think at least part of it was about the Nuremberg trials (based on the below scene), but it could as easily have been right after the liberation of the Concentration Camps. I have a dim thought that the narrator had a typical Voice of Old News style, but the part that stands out in my mind was that there was footage of..
..the corpses of big name Nazis. These were either those hanged (or who committed suicide) as a result of the trials, or who were killed in combat in the waning days of the war.
I have been unable to find it since, and wonder if the extremely graphic nature of this footage - and possibly more - have caused it to be removed/suppressed.
