Red Mage was thrown through the air and landed on his head, his eyes widen as inspiration came to him. "It all makes sense.", he whispered as he pulled himself up.

"Dude, I don't have a sister!" Two-Bit called back, unknown that he was talking to Wreck-Gar. "And your the one who is attacking us. We didn't even do anything man!" He continued, trying to get the bot to calm down.

"Pohatu, snap out of it!" Maria yelled, removing her armor and longcoat as well. "You are in the City!"

Wizard Needs Food Badly

Subaru couldn't stand just sitting there anymore. She edged over on the couch and gently put one hand on Aki's arm, watching the girl's reaction in case this was unwelcome.

"Oh, Aki, I'm so sorry..." Subaru said softly, tears of her own welling up in her eyes. Damn it, I was right... Implants, experiments... this is awful... Aki, Subaru realised, was what she could have become, had the Bureau not raided her lab. Subaru clenched her fist. Nothing - absolutely nothing - could justify this. She vowed to find this "facility", and if it was on a world the TSAB could access, she'd lead the recsue team in herself.

"I know... I know it doesn't make any of this better, but... you're out of their clutches now. Noone in your home-world can touch you now, and you don't have to go back."

"I have a sister!?" asked Wreck-Gar, delighted at this news. "Where is she? Can I meet her?"

"...I see. It is entirely possible that whatever game Spriggan was referring to may have exaggerated that particular details, or that he himself is wrong. Or that the game is based on an alternate version of your universe."

Kamek explained, "The most common way that our universe is depicted is through a series of video games by the Nintendo company. Despite simplifying some details such as the centuries worth of international politics that led to our current stalemate it is the most accurate depiction. Not the onlt one, though. There was a hideously corny cartoon show which made the King a crocodilian buffoon and fouled up the names, appearances, and birth order of his children. They made Iggy and Lemmy twins, for Stars' sake!" He said exasperatedly.

"Another was a rather ...perplexing movie with an all-human cast, for some reason."

Pretend there's something clever written here.

Cahdok was absorbing his blows like she was made out of hardened protosteel. 'Oh, Rock-Guy! Wait... What're you doin' here?' yelled the Avokah that was on Cahdok's left side.

'Pohatu, you're in the City. Snap out of it'! cried Gorast, her wings buzzing angrily.

'It all makes sense...' moaned the Rahkshi some distance away.

"There's too many of them..." moaned Pohatu to himself, and charged once more at Maria...

Spriggan went to help Engineer guard the door, eating small packed bread once again afar the supplies were brought in he fished out from a tac vest pocket. Right now, he only had a few more pieces of bread.

"Mmm... Tuna."

I saw Larfleeze around here so I better watch out for that guy. Speaking of which, Shiro may crack so I need to see him after eating this tuna bread.

His beret was on the BDU's left shoulder strap with his balaclava and goggles tucked on his tac vest.

"Terra.....Hes the one that took your eye isn't he? Do you want to get revenge?" Crona asked, trying to distract herself from her headache by asking questions.

Shirou crossed his arms. "Yeah, you're probably right about that. I can't imagine why I'd be in that sort of game in the first place. Seriously, the only thing I've done that would even be interesting enough to make into a game is fighting in the Grail War, and that was, well, a war."

He raised an eyebrow at Kamek's mention of Mushroom Kingdom politics. "Actually, if you wouldn't mind giving me a little information on that, I wouldn't mind getting your side of the story. I've played some of those games before, and you guys are almost always portrayed as being both evil and incredibly stupid. Just the two days you've been here have proven that, while you might not be the kindest people out there, you don't seem to be evil, per say, and you're definitely not stupid."

Shirou was, admittedly, interested in what Mario and Peach were truly like - given how they were portrayed in the games, it was hard to imagine them as being anything but paragons of absolute good.

"Revenge on him? I would, but after listening to him talk I just realized I don't have to." Braig looked around for a second.

"Between you and me, something ends up happening to him back home. To make a long story short, he ends up having amnesia and becoming a scientist like me...He doesn't know what he's getting into...But I do..." He whispered.

"But don't worry about it, I really don't want to get you involved in this."

Bran knocked on the Family apartment doorjam again.

It's a plot! ...Quite a well written one too.

"I'll leave ya to hold the fort. I need to see Shiro."

Spriggan told the Engineer, throwing the bread wrapping away before he went out of his way to see Shiro.

At Castlevania, the Irken communication screen flashed up a sign saying "You have 1 new message". Were the screen to be touched by Dracula, this message from Zim would play.

"Uugh, it's gone to answerphone. Hello Dracula, hoping you get this message before tomorrow. Just FYI, apparently Bowser wants a word with you. Don't ask me how I know that or why. Well, anyway, here's to world domination and all, I guess I'll catch you later, villainous cohort... It's Zim."

Then the recording would end.

"Here, I'll show you how it's done," said Wreck-Gar as he transformed.

"Bah-weep-graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong!" He repeated, making odd signals with his hand, then reaching down to hi-five Pohatu with a hand bigger than the Toa's entire body.

Kamek looked at Shirou praisingly. "An inquisitive mind, eh? Well... Have you ever noticed how the games never make it clear whether Darkland - that's Bowser's domain - is its own country or merely a territory of the Mushroom Kingdom? That's because it's not clear in real life, either. Peach and her predecessors would have you believe the ridiculous claim that Darkland is merely a territory, while we say that not only is Darkland its own country, but we deserve control of the Mushroom Kingdom as well."

He smirked. "Bowser once tried to force the Princess's hand on the matter. There was an epidemic of what was dubbed "the blorbs," which caused the Toads to swell up into a sphere. Peach called an emergency meeting of the most influential members of the populus - and Bowser crashed it. If she said that Darkland was still a part of the Mushroom Kingdom, she'd be forced to let him stay; if she said that he had to leave, it would be tantamount to admitting her Kingdom's hold on us is illegitimate."

It wasn't unwelcome, but Aki still stiffened and recoiled slightly on simple instinct. It was always like this. All the time. Even when all she wanted -all she needed- was to hug someone, to have someone comforting to cry onto, she could barely stand even the most the simple of human contact. And she didn't know why. That scared her too.

It was a strange feeling, the hand on her arm, comforting and uncomfortable in equal measure, but Aki let it stay. Emotionally, she was in no state to disown comfort, even if the blue haired girl was wrong. And she was so very wrong.

Aki knew she could never be free of that place, never be truly free of the cold, sterile corridors and the musty-smelling foam matress of her cell. Never be free of the looks she always got from the scientists, or the smirk Langley wore near-constantly. Not as long as she still had the gaps in her memories. Not as long as she still dreamt the same un-recallable nightmares every single night. Not as longs as she still had the blades in her arms.

Aki's childlike features contorted as she fought to force down the feelings, but she was too far gone. Her composure broke. Sobs racked Aki's shoulders as the tears ran fast down her cheeks, softly pattering on her bloodstained lap.

Maria was ejected from Wreck-Gar as he transformed, as was Asuka. Maria looked peeved at Pohatu, but let Wreck-Gar handle him.

Dracula meanwhile had awaken and read the voicemail on the picture Zim had installed. He had been recovering his strength from his stint in the sun and called up one of his Witches.

"You are to go visit this Bowser and tell him that I shall visit with him tomorrow," Dracula said. "Due to the curse today, the sun is powerful enough to weaken even me. He has a castle similar to my own."

The Witch nodded, got on her broom and flew off to find Bowser's Castle.

Two-Bit brushed himself off as he was ejected out of the transforming Wreck-Gar. "Pohatu, you need to calm down! You need to sit down and think for a moment! You need to be quiet for five seconds and look around you!" Two-Bit erupted, looking around the street as he otherwise ignored Red-Mage. "Nothing is happening for once! NOTHING! Calm down!"

Sareg glared at Two-Bit, then noticed that Pohatu was attacking Wreck-Gar, He ran over and pointed his empty shotgun at the Toa. "Stop right there! Nobody attacks a Red Team member without my permission. Except Grif. But that's not the point!"

Subaru slid closer to Aki, biting her lip as the girl broke down. She had caught that flinch as she had touched her arm - something else she had been afraid of. Still, she obviosuly needed some form of comfort, even if a full-on hug would be too traumatic.

Subaru slid her hand around and gently rubbed Aki's back. "It's OK." She said quietly, "It's alright, you're with friends now." She continued to murmer to the girl in a soft, soothing voice even as, internally, she fumed at the thought of someone reducing a little girl to this state.

"Shirou. Need to talk to you."

Spriggan rubbed his temples, looking around to see if he was around.

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"

Crona nodded her head, thinking that was pretty much worse the what she could do. She gave Braig a hug and uncurled from her ball again. She looked over at the supplies and asked "When can we eat?"

Shirou remained silent as he continued to listen to Kamek's explanation. Once the Magikoopa had finished, he brought up one of his questions. "Hmm...So in other words, Peach is just doing whatever she can do avoid discussing the issue? It seems like no matter what she does, it's going to either seem like she's admitting defeat, or that she never had authority over you to being with. How does she manage to keep her people loyal? Given how many times your two countries have fought, it seems like it would be in her best interest to just let you declare independence at this point."

"Or is it not that simple?" he asked, having a feeling that it definitely wasn't.

He glanced over at Spriggan. "Sure, what's up?" he asked, expecting Spriggan to simply talk about it here.
