Yeah I didn't get why he thought leaving the guy who A) who is currently trying to figure out the Boss' identity and B) has a Stand that isn't combat orientated and which he can't use to defend himself while it's replaying all by himself was a good idea. Surely he could've just sent Narancia and stayed with Abbaccio himself or at the very least waited for Mista or Giorno to get there before investigating.

He had an even-numbered team until this episode. He shouldn't be letting anyone operate alone.

To be fair, that could have easily ended with Narancia killed.

That is, if we ignore that he dies later on anyway.

I do agree that waiting for backup to arrive would have been better, but I can understand him wanting to check out the situation quickly.

I mean, I'm mostly wondering why on earth Giorno and Mista weren't in actionable range to begin with. Then they wouldn't have had to choose between waiting for back-up and checking the situation out.

Yeah. That's the real question I'd say.

Also interesting to note that it was Abbacchio who suggested investigating it in the first place. Bruno seemed as if he was willing to just take Narancia's word for it that the enemy was dead.

Does anyone have an idea on how Passione or Carne knew how his Stand worked? His Stand is pathetic while alive and they were clearly sending him to go after problematic foes, so there had to be some way of knowing it'd "evolve" unless they were just hoping to get lucky

The most common theory is that B.I.G. reforms Carne after eating enough people.

Or B.I.G had a different power in life and told Carne about its secondary effect after death.

Oh, right. Stands can talk sometimes and tell their users about their powers. It's easy to forget that, with how rarely it comes up, but it's probably absolutely what happened in this case.

Minor spoilers for an upcoming fight but Team Boss did know how Notorious B.I.G. worked before sending Carne in.

It even happened during the fight against BIG, with Spice Girl telling Trish what her power was and how it worked.

Sure could have helped Jotaro.

Star Platinum: "I'm super strong and fast, and I have the hands of a surgeon and the eyes of a bird of prey. I can also extend my index finger like a bullet."

Jotaro: "Dope. I'll probably forget about that last one, but that all sounds really useful."

Star Platinum: "Oh, also: I think I might be able to stop time? Only for, like, less than a second, though."

Jotaro: "Really now?"

There was a recap episode this week but otherwise, yeah, nothing new until next week.

Did we really need a recap? Not much has happened since they first turned against the Boss.

• A duo of the Boss's bodyguards tried to kill everyone, but Narancia beat them.

• Another of the Boss's bodyguards tried to kill them on a plane, but Trish discovered her Stand and beat it.

• The Boss fought the last of the Assassin Squad and killed Abbacchio.

Though I'm now curious as to the details of a chocolate fight. Is it just people flinging chocolate at each other, or has our favourite sweet finally gained sentience, and our only hope is to take up arms against it?

Cause that second sounds like ridiculous fun.

I remember how production ended up getting noticeably worse during the final third of Diamond is Unbreakable. I'll take any amount of recap episodes if it helps stave off that happening again.

Next episode title mentions Rome. I accidentally spoiled myself earlier while looking at Mista's page over on the Jojo wikia so I'm excited because we're closer to Polnareff's return and I've been looking forward to that ever since I accidentally spoiled myself about that back in October.
