Yeah is really awkard to place X and Megaman in the same continuity, it just feel.....odd.

Also I would have love if they continue the idea of sigma virus being the dark elf, even dead, sigma continue is influence in the future.

What? The Mother Elf was specifically made from Zero's virus data to be an anti-Sigma virus.

Everything in the Zero series and on is still Wily's fault since he started the whole mess. XD

I think there were supose to be direct link between dark elf and sigma virus in someway.

Yeah. That was the original plan. They shifted the cause to Weil once his character was finalized.

To be fair, Zero series have plenty of "what if" moments, like copy megaman being there because facing megaman would be way to much.

And yes, Zero life from X to Zero series is REALLY grimdark.

Apparently the villain of Zero 1 was supposed to be the real X, but the writing staff realized at the last minute that that would cast a dark light on the X series so we got Copy-X instead.

Poor X. Inafune always did like Zero better XD; (And Zero was the original X's design, too!)

To be fair, Master X is a far more interesting concept to me than Copy X ever could be.

It mean Zero pretty much suprass X as time when one: he have a conection to Sigma, willy, the virus,etc....

I remember reading that once Zero's design was rejected for X, Inafune made him the "other main character that would steal all the good scenes!" X himself feels like an afterthought tn some respects.

Yeah, for example X4 feels like a Zero game with X in it, Colonel is zero rival, Iris the not love interest, we see sigma past, etc.

X6 kinda have more X participation with Gate as X enemy while Zero have totally-not-willy with Isoc and high mask, and X7......yeah.

Popularity drove that, too. Inafune was off the team by the time X6 rolled around.

Does someone here like X6? I like more than X5, maybe because I never like the bosses of X5 and feel they were to easy, while X6 range to stupid(wolfang blizzard) to insanaly hard(Infinity fucking minion) I kinda sort like the level and the story is not so bad.

I mean, I really did like the battle with High Max, both times. Sure, he was stupid hard, but once you got a handle of how he worked and how to dodge all his projectiles, he was SUPER fun to fight and really tested your reflexes every step of the way. A good example of a freaking hard boss fight done RIGHT.

Kinda but fighting with Zero is hard, REALLY STUPID HARD.

I like the bosses of X4 because of it, the only one who is stupid is frost who is stupid and if you have fire weapon he die pretty fast without touching you

I actually like X6 and find its reputation as one of the worst X games to be greatly overblown.

Infinity Minionjin is one of the funnest fights in the game IMO. High Max makes every other "rival" in the X series look like a chump. The kicker is when he starts spamming death ball at the end.

Worst boss in X6 is nightmare mom. Ugh. Just Ugh. Harder than Black Devil TBH.

It's been so long since the last time I played X6 I can't really say I find it good, but I do remember having fun with it, to the point I was pretty shocked to find out about its negative reputation.

Kinda the same for me, I mean the level desing is fuck up(infinity minion with is gigant ass robot firing laser, metal shark prayer or blazing pheonix), the boss are good if their level is all over the place, and while people said Sigma hijack stuff again is only in the end of the game.

Personally, I never minded the Sigma hijacks because it helps portray, at least for me, just how beyond a mere Reploid he became.

He's closer to a D-Reaper-style abomination, a force of nature almost impossible to truly kill off, like Dracula and Ganon, and I find that a pretty cool concept for a recurring villain.

Certainly better justification than Wily, who only gets away with showing up all the time because Mega Man is a Saturday Morning Cartoon in a video game shape.

I don't think x6"s reputation is overblown personally. It's a badly designed game and definitely not better than x5.

I dislike ganon funny enough and I feel zelda should explore more villians, but I like sigma actually and I feel that he have turn in battle network it would be great since as virus it better explain why he keep returing over and over and over.

Drag: funny thing I find X5 fairly overated, is level design is sort of okay but is boss it are forgettable and very easy.

I can get people thinking x5 isn't great, it's just that x6 is worse in most regards.

Its partly because X5 is the emotinal payoff to the narrative the franchise has built up since the first game.

In terms of game-design, aside from not forcing the player to pick only Zero or X, it's not a big leap in quality from X4, the way it was from X3 or X8 was from X7.
