It looks like it's a bug combining the rapid fire of the micro-missile launchers and the precision bolt scope's kickback.
That doesn't seem right to me.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Looks like it combines two upgrades into one. Looks like the heavy cannon would shoot both the missiles and the precision shot at the missiles' firerate. Nice but it completely does not hold the candle to the rapid fire grenade spam of the shotty.
Wanna see if you can replicate it? You need cheat codes enabled. Freakin' raid fire precision bolt mode

I feel you wouldn't get as much cool fuckery with the Chaingun or Rocket Launcher, but Ballista I think you would if you combined Arbalest with Destroyer Blade. Destroyer Blade has a long charge up time and Arbalest fully upgraded doesn't and... uhm, yeah.

Comments say its buggy interactions with ingame cheats, but I don't even have them collected. I'm just at mission 3 or 4.

Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Well, do try it. I am not sure if it got patched in... invisible sideways barrels shooting high damaging rounds is a ridiculously cool idea. Someone should make that for a Doom WAD.
Speaking of OG Doom, still playing Freedoom (I find something about the free alternative to Doom so resonating, even if it has some flaws) my pistol start quest is going well. Beat first two episodes, now I'm onto the third.
I did die bunch of times, but I prevailed. Now to finish this and indulge in my favorite episode, Double Impact!
I love Double Impact. Again, it's on the Doom trilogy for consoles and it's got a kickass level design and terrific atmosphere making use of lighting for a near horror effect. I can't stop gushing about this PWAD, sorry

They could easily make that bug into some kind of new or DLC powerup in future, it sounds bonkers.
Also, LOL at Hell's big idea of matching the Slayer be "Bigass tank guy they stole from the Strogg" when its a cumbersome son of a bitch, Mancubi, Cyberdemons and those fuckin marauders giv eme way more trouble.

Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...I took them on and won handily on UV. About the only trouble I got was more from the mooks than the guy himself. He's not completel yweak but he's hyped up more than he can deliver. the Marauder shoulda gotten that moniker really.

See guys, I have this issue playing older shooters where I tend to rush into a new room and never realize there's enemies around the corners and lose bunch of HP. You'd think I'd learn over time to not rush in, and carefully inspect. It's like I willingly let myself get sucker punched. Even when I did a level few times already, I forgot all enemy positions and lose hp for my troubles.
As for Doomhunter, I feel his second phase should've been deadlier. As is, you can pretty much burst lock on and finish him off piss easy.

I kinda wish we got some form of the meathook for terrain only but it might be a bit too much.

Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...My gripe is, you can't use fodder demons as flails with the meathook. Hooking a zombie, and then smashing it onto a tyrant for starters and watch as the zombie gets turned into paste.

I went for the Lockon Burst first thing since I heard it was good. I also went with the mini missiles for the Heavy Cannon because I remember how good the original Itano Circus in 2016 was.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI actually went for Precision Bolt as far as the Heavy Cannon is concerned, because that ability to destroy weak-points without needing to account for a trajectory is hella important, yo.

I did manage to figure out combining it, Flame Belch and Ice Grenades with the drones was basically infinite rockets tho. That Lockon Burst hurts that prehistoric bitch good.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowWell, I asked for challenge and I got it. Sure, Freedoom's not the most difficult thing but I feel like it's setting me up nicely...
Anyway, some starting areas are a bitch on UV Fast Monsters Pistol Start, like this C 3 M 3: Derelict Temple. You start in a rather cramped area but no monster sees you, being in unalerted state but you see them. You have hitscanners, imp replacements, pinky replacements and you don't have much room to maneuver.
I only lucked out after nearly 20 deaths when I got a serpentipede on another platform hitting a blood worm (pinky replacement) and a shotgun zombie and a stealth blood worm stuck up against a wall while I found a secret.
That said, other levels pistol starting after this one have been smooth.

Man, I feel so awesome since I managed to get 100% completion on my first run.
Just need to go through on extra lives mode to get all the single player trophies now.
I managed to overcome that Icon of Sin as well in Eternal. Boy he gave me the run around but part of that was from all the super heavy demons he summoned. Thank fuck he can't summon Doom Stroggs or those fuckin Marauders at least.

Actually, when you think about it, he had some role in previous game, that dark demonic voice at times during the campaign. He has absolutely no lines in succeeding game

And in other news, my Pistol Start quest is going decently with few big speed bumps. As much as I love Double Impact, the Episode 4 PWAD replacement, it's annoying at the second level when you open door. Hitscanners, imp fireballs and one stealth worm to fuck ya over!
Hitscanners are scary with Fast Monsters. Their attack frequency is extremely high
