Well at least it isn't over anime tits.

That just brings in the more obnoxious crowd.

But speaking of Imperial Japan logos, I recall that Shido had a sun logo too in his fight.

He is supposed to be a jab at those Imperial Japan apologist and revisionist politicians.

Frankly I'm surprised he didn't have a scene of him denying WW 2 crimes but I guess that would be too controversial?

Shido having rising sun insignia makes sense because as stated he's one of Those People and also he's a fucking villain we're supposed to hate.

I wasn't commenting on the Raidou DLC in my post. There's a reason why my post said that the loss of Ryuji's shoe logo is "at least one change I won't be too shook up about."

Raidou wears a school uniform of his era, which were deliberately designed to resemble military uniforms; South Koreans in particular have been vocal about the character seemingly glorifying the Imperial Japanese military. Bit of an overreaction IMO, but given what Korea went through and how Japan has more Axis apologists than basically anywhere else from what I understand, I suppose I can't really blame them.

I wonder if that's also why the Raidou DLC is missing from the Persona 5 Royal ports.

Honestly, I never noticed Ryuji's shoes so it doesn't bother me if they're not there. I'm far more bummed I won't be able to hear the Raidou theme than anything but the relationship between Japan and Korea is very complicated and longstanding so I get why it has to be removed.

@Asterism: People can get pretty worked up over a company voluntarily changing it's own product, even if the change is sensible. Did you ever hear about the "controversy" over Xenoblade X?

EDIT: I'd like to emphasize that, while I think the part with the shoes was a sensible change, I can understand why people would be unhappy with not having certain pieces of content.

to be fair, XCX removing the boob slider was ridiculously overzealous.

all the other changes were absolutely beneficial though.

How’s the frame rate on the Switch port?

Apparently, it's 30 FPS with a slight graphical downgrade, but these are barely noticeable, especially as it's a turn-based game.

5 Royal is now tied for the 3rd best Metacritic score of 97.

This just makes Soul Hackers 2's flop all the more ridiculous and pathetic, really.

Soul Hackers 2 was clearly a budget title, with the best thing about it being new demon models and the story.

True, but it was very obviously trying to go more for the Persona audience then SMT's own Devil Summoner audience, and it missed for it, to the point where it might be a subseries killer for Soul Hackers as a whole.

So they recently did an official countdown of the top 20 songs for Persona 5, including Royal. They just finished today and the full list will come tomorrow.

I wish the Strikers remix of Rivers in the Desert was here. It's the normal Rivers in the Desert but a lot more metal.

The list is specifically from Vanilla 5 and Royal. No spin offs.

That's the only reason I can explain for Daredevil and Counter Strike not being on the list.
