After so many years I finally finished the manga, and I must admit that I was disappointed that the role of Miho Azuki seemed to be limited to being a kind of reward.
Girls do not get the best look in this manga, unfortunately.
But still they could have given a better role to what is supposedly the main female character.
I am one of those who believes that a good romance depends on the interaction between the two characters, so if you make them almost not interact, and only make them end together after the protagonist achieves a goal, it will give the impression that love interest is just a reward.
And I know that the initial premise is: "I will not see my girlfriend again, until we both achieve our dreams", but still.

Hey, just random topic for everyone. Who are your favorite character in the story? I been reading the manga lately after watching the anime almost a decade ago, and I start to get a new appreciation for everyone in the cast. My favorites are Fukuda and his assistants and Hiramaru for his antics. I forgot how great this manga and wished there was more of it. Kinda like a continuation while discussing all the changes that Shonen Jump went through the years until now.
What was the name of Mashiro’s assistant who went on to make the Phoenix Wright-like manga? Takahama? I’ve always been partial to him. Hiramaru is hilarious too.
