I defeated Noble Electrode!

So, I've just quelled all five of the frenzied Nobles, and what is my grand reward?

Getting kicked out of the Galaxy Team and Jubilife Village because the sky turned red, and it's somehow MY fault. Go figure.

Okay, I have this idea: what if for Gen 10, they make the battles real time? Like you and your Pokémon are constantly on the move, avoiding one another's attacks and striking back. It would sort of be like Kingdom Hearts gameplay essentially.

Auugh, I hate it. I've tried a few times, and I just have a lot of trouble getting into Action RPG's. They just have a completely different feel to Turn-Based ones. And I imagine that's something Game Freak would be extremely conscious of, and such a major change they wouldn't risk alienating audience members by doing so.

The competitive scene is too major for Gamefreak to be willing to make any fundamental changes to the gameplay

Indeed, Legends Arceus only changed the formula so much because it was basically entirely single-player.

I could see a mix of both styles the legends battle system for battling wild Pokemon and the mainline battle system for Pokemon trainers.

At this point, I'm curious if Z-A will have the equivalents of Alpha and Noble Pokemon, and what said equivalents will be like narrative-wise.

Arceus had Noble Pokemon as essentially guardian kami of the land, so I'm curious on what the equivalents in Z-A will be like.

Yes, I do. I don't know how I misremembered it as 5,000, I must have been mixing it up with something else.

Since there was a mention of real-time Pokemon, I will just mention there is Pokemon Reloaded, a fangame that is exactly that, and offering almost every Pokemon up to gen 8.

It's developed in Spanish, but it has English as a language option (though not perfect, the translation is understandable); and it also should be mentioned the music choices are peculiar, but there is also an option for more traditional pokemon music.

My Machamp is in its 40s in PLA, so I'm gonna try pummeling the Alpha Blissey to give it a boost.

My favorite "oh crap" moment from an Alpha Pokemon was in the Crimson Mirelands when I ran into Alpha Tangrowth and it shot me with Hyper Beam. That was my first time seeing Hyper Beam in the game, too. Terrifying!

My most memorable Alpha Pokemon moment didn't involve said Alpha Pokemon attacking me. My most remembered moment was just hearing Alpha Froslass; she's located underground, but you can still hear her when you're aboveground, and it's a haunting experience.

Huh, I just had a memory resurface from roughly 2008: back when I owned a Manaphy from Toys 'R Us (this was back when mythical Pokémon were given out, IDK if they still do it today, I'm not quite up to the news on distributions like I used to be), I thought about how there was an exclusive Manaphy egg (which is the reason I got Pokémon Ranger, but I never could beat that stupid game so I ended up selling it, hopefully some kid's more skilled at it, good for him he, can have the egg) and I brainstormed how my trainer would get ahold of the egg after reaching Sandgem Town, he finds a Team Galactic Grunt carrying a suspicious container behind the Pokémon Center.

When the Grunt puts it there and leaves, my trainer curiously takes a look inside, and inside is the mysterious blue egg. He takes the egg to Professor Rowan, who suggests that he just walk around with it like any other egg.

When it hatches after defeating Roark, the Manaphy bonds to the trainer quick, and the Grunt catches up to the trainer, furious that it bonded to him instead of Cyrus, as he had plans to use Manaphy for...IDK, maybe mess with emotions with Heart Swap? Anyway, the Grunt leaves, knowing that Cyrus's plan to re-make the universe will still go as planned. And then the rest of the game goes as normal.

So I want to discuss on how Kieran was treated by his family and how it doesn't make sense on why it happened, like why did his grandfather wanted to keep it a secret to Kieran specifically but you an outsider is fair game, why does Carmine get way with treating her brother and others like crap and why is it that Kieran can't go up in the mountain at night even though trainers at eleven years old can go up on a active volcano, because it doesn't make sense to me.

Well the first one makes sense to me, since 1, they trust you more because you are an outsider, and are aware of Kieran's flaws and don't want him to be hurt.

Like, we saw how Kieran reacted even though he overheard exactly why the player specifically AND his grandparents kept him out of the loop.

that just feels like false justification to me as I can see him being angry that the MC and his family are keeping secrets and lied to him which is a petty justified outburst when you put your self in his shoes, plus the story never gives any flaws to Kieran before that moment outside of being shy.

The DLC story is incredibly badly written. The whole thing hinges on Kieran being singled out to be treated like shit for no/flimsy reason. Other parts of the story make little sense too- the trio were deified when all the townspeople saw of them was literally their dead bodies? The ogre was vilified because it was so scawy with its masks when the townspeople were admiring it and its trainer's masks just days before? The maskmaker saw the ogre going back to its cave alone and just didn't do anything about any of it? The ogre's trainer was living in the damn cave despite being giant and as Kieran said the cave looking uncomfortable for anything large to live in?

I absolutely believe there was some original plan that got scrapped, probably with the sad ogre story being just as false as the heroic trio story, but someone somewhere decided it should be Kieran Bullying Simulator instead and it was all just forced into place.

Honestly there's been a concerning trend in these games since like gen 7 of characters being treated awfully for no reason and just being left to suffer, or characters treating others awfully and pretty much getting away with it and being treated as good guys or the victim. Kieran's story is just the worst of it so far.

I dunno, like Kieran acts like the MC maliciously hid the truth about the ogre from him, when they were told not to by authority figures, plus we do see hints of his flaws from the start.

Like, he does idolize the Ogre for her power and ability to stand up against the loyal three without even knowing the full context. So from his POV, he was admiring a local folk monster for it's power. Which is a bit concerning and foreshadows his issues later on.

I will need to double check the scenes with his grandparents again tho to remember what exactly they said.
