...WHY WOULD YOU SHOW ME THIS.
WHAT MONSTER DID THAT TO HIS ICE CREAM I MUST KNOW.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonIs it weird that I like how silly mouth closed Golbat looks?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyLooking into Exeggcute a bit further, it seems a bit lackluster in HGSS - it doesn’t learn Confusion until level 27 (which is also when Exeggcutor learns Egg Bomb), nor does learn any other damaging Psychic moves until 20 levels later.
Looking into some other options, Xatu seems interesting, but also doesn’t learn any Psychic moves for awhile. There’s Girafarig, but I’m uncertain about it, and even then, I usually like to go west of Ecruteak first, so I wouldn’t be able to get it until after Chuck. I’ve used Espeon a bunch before, and while I think it’s good, it’s a bit of a pain to raise. Finally, there’s Alakazam, which is certainly effective, but I’ll admit to having a bit of a hang up when it comes to sharing more than one Pokemon with the rival. What do you guys think?
Oh God! Natural light!Of those choices Alakazam is the best by a good margin but it's also a trade evolution. Kadabra on its own is pretty decent, but you might want to consider that.
Reminder, Kadabra is still better than Xatu. Espeon is a tad inferior than Alakazam, but an upgrade over Kadabra.
My sister’s letting me use her DS, so a trade evolution isn’t a problem. I’ll probably go with Alakazam, then.
Oh God! Natural light! Here’s a really good example of what the Sinnoh Remakes could have been.

¿?¡!Can we not wait until the game is out before we go all in on the "if-onlys"?
SoundCloudThe combat almost ruins it though. I do want more dynamic presentation for pokemon's combat but I don't want it to stop being turn based.
Maybe something like how the 3D Fire Emblem games show combat would be cool
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.haven't watched the whole video but from what I saw, it doesn't look like it stopped being turn-based - it just look like they skipped all the menuing. I could buy this being a turn-based battle if the designers put enough thought into it.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Um, it looks like realtime action. Just look ar the way the Pokemon move. And anyway this is only a proof of concept video, not a game engine. Does look good though, aside from the combat.

could be both, really. Like, yeah obviously it could be real time, but it could also just be turn-based with the pokemons just actively moving while you're making your decisions and exchanging blows for the sake of visuals to give a sense the mons don't just stand idly waiting for their next order. Ain't THAT much of a stretch.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Part of me wonders if they already came up with that video and then someone said "but what if we put Pikachu in there?".
My favorite sad Pikachu is still "lost his ketchup" Pikachu.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Pikachu and Pichu were entirely unnecessary for that music video but promotion gets you more views. I liked the song but it was nothing special.
My 16 inch Larvitar plush came in today; it's so cuddly.
I'm more surprised that the video (and assumingly the song) is a half hour. Like that's enough time for at least half an album!
NVM I misread the post as "25 minutes"

Yeah, at least Post Malone's cover sampled the GSC soundtrack. This song didn't really have anything that counts as specifically, definitely Pokemon and not just free of ties from anything so it could be used all over without being noticed.
SoundCloudI thought it was cute. Liked that the pikachu in the video was female.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532Alright, I just evolved my Sandshrew into Sandslash, and taught my Growlith Flame-wheel.
I immediately kicked Sandslash out now that I didn't need him anymore and put Graveller back in.
Now that that is done, I'm gonna work on moving on with the (admittedly thin, it's Pokemon remember?) plot. So it's time to head to Olivine Light house.
One Strip! One Strip!Crobat’s amazing, I must say, and honestly not all that difficult to evolve - the tough part is raising Zubat to the point where it starts to learn strong moves, but once you have Bite and Wing Attack it gets a lot easier.
Weepinbell’s not bad, but I have to say that its movepool’s a bit disappointing - no real Grass moves to work with other then Vine Whip and the Bullet Seed TM, at least in the early game. Granted, this might have more to do with HGSS’s TM distribution - no Giga Drain until Kanto - but it’s still a bit disappointing.
Now, this might have more to do with the the nature I got with mine, but Kadabra’s a lot more fragile than I remember it being. Granted, I also decided to disable the automatic switch option for a harder time, but it really can’t take a hit at all. I’ll evolve it soon, at least - that should help a bit...though probably not much.
Anyway, thinking of doing a Firered run soon too. I had tried a Squirtle run not too long ago, but the team I chose was a bit disappointing, so I’m thinking of starting over and going with Charmander again, as I’ve missed using it. Now, I had originally thought of using Marowak for my Ground type, as I’m a fan of it, but it occurred to me that I’ve always wanted to try one of the Nidoran family, so I wouldn’t mind giving them a swing. Only question - King or Queen? Both of them have their appeal to me, but I’m uncertain which to choose. What do you guys think?
Oh God! Natural light!Abra line has always been paper frail on the physical side. It's no special tank by any means but you are much more likely to survive a special hit than a physical one.
As for King vs Queen, it shouldn't matter that much for an in-game run but King's higher offensive stats will probably be more useful. Depending on how much you like it you can save a lot of TM's for him since nidoking/queen have ridiculously expansive type coverage with many great moves.
