still, definitely seems like Ozy is dumb powerful in his temple. just. why is he so strong? other characters have a good reason for it.

Daily reminder - I never once liked her ever.

Basically his Brand is being known for all the temples he built/reworked and that all accumulates into one thing for his Servant version.

I think Altera's alright in Learning with Manga. Don't really care for her in FGO and Extella seems like too much of a shitshow for me.

Bleye: Well, he's strong enough that Gil takes him absolutely seriously, can wreck the likes of Siegfried if really trying, is at least as good as Vlad on his home turf with special double territory bonuses and on paper his abilities make him super strong.

Ozy has a super doom fortress where he's basically unkillable. Also a couple easy to use A+ NPs with great versatility. He's strong cause he basically represents ancient Egypt as its strongest ruler. Though from what I understand he only went into battle once so whatever.

Nine Tails Tamamo would technically count as a Servant, maybe? But she's really more of a Beast. Anyway, she should be as strong as Amaterasu, who is the same level of being as Tiamat. Just no Authority, probably.

Loli Altera just looks like Altera to me. It took me a minute to realize she was shorter than usual.

Any character can be improved with good comedy & the Learning manga does have good comedy indeed. The bad civilization meme for one.

Its just when they try to make us take Altera seriously & that's when it all falls apart.

Just imagine Azrael from Blaz Blue in her clothes and that's basically male Atilla right there.

I can take Altera reasonably seriously so long as I think of her as an OC not connected to any historical figure. Clearly that is why she wants to be called Altera and not Atilla. So thoughtful.

Now that makes sense.

She is so original she has absolutely no connection or relation whatsoever to the character in any way.

For the people who follow them, how far into the story the Strange Fake and Case Files mangas are in comparison with the light novels? I know the latter is getting an anime sometime this year, but I like to get a leg up in the story just in case of spoilers.

The most interesting things about Altera have nothing to do with her being Attila the Hun, which is why the connection feels tacked on and wasted.

, basically. Her character is interesting and relatively well-developed, but the Attila connection makes the whole deal utterly impossible to take seriously.

Throwing my 2 cents in: If the writers wanted to tie Altera to the Huns that badly I think it would have been better to have her be Attila's adopted daughter/sister/whatever and say that her feats and such became conflated with Attila's.

It's the most blatant case of a gender flip just for the sake of it. At least other flips they tied into the lore of the characters they represent.
