I think MMXIX might get caught in crossfire between the Evil Gender Pimp and people trying to free Ms Liberty. But who knows?
New tweet from tats tells the tale of himself
A Slick fanI'm sure someone's already said this, but this webcomic makes a lot more sense if Xanthe is actually the gender flipped Slick as an author avatar.
OK, it makes a bit more sense.

Looks like we're getting filler for now.

Women's public bathrooms are disgusting because of patriarchy. I mean, I just figured it was because females piss and shit just like men, but no, apparently it's because the patriarchy. That's the real reason why all those transgender snowflakes want to get in there, they're agents of the patriarchy, sneaking behind enemy lines to just shit up the place.
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
Maybe not. Most likely, yes, but maybe not.
It's barely possible that this comic contains allusions to two famous poems:
- "Love ... or die" might be an echo of Septermber 1, 1939 by W.H.Auden, with its line "We must love one another or die."
- "Your feathered friend" might be a callout to Emily Dickinson's poem “Hope” is the thing with feathers.
The problem with this interpretation is that it undermines the TERF message of Sinfest. So does Tats' use of those phrases indicate that he believes they support his position? Is it just an accidental similarity of wording, and ultimately meaningless? Or is Tats once again subverting the overt message of his comic's radfem dogma?
So, once again: "Tats — WTF?"

He is full of contradictions. But he IS studious and well-learned. He probably knows what he's doing. I still believe that he is mostly on the "true believer" route, but there has always been the thought in me that he just wants to rebel. (Edit: I believe his fervent belief to the cause doesn't stem from actual belief, but from a desperate desire to put himself in the role of a rebel to protect his ego. When he fails, it is not due to his lack of talent. It is due to his "rebelliousness" The effectiveness of this correlates directly to how strongly he believes in the thing that makes him a "rebel").
He had a tracking number of syndicates that turned him down, he proudly branded himself as a rebel when he started the feminism route, and now he has entrenched himself further in a much less popular ideology.
He probably doesn't even realize it himself, but he wears the mask of rebel as if it is the thing that keeps him from advancing. As if it is his ideals that hold him back and not his own limitations. But notice that each time he entrenches himself further and further it is AFTER each failure. Each move he makes toward infamy is only after when his comic goes another step further into decline.
This would be a painful truth for him, but him acting rebellious is an excuse for him to fail without having to attribute it to his abilities. In his mind, it is not his talent in questiion: it is his values. His skill is limited. Not only as a writer, but as an artist. It's still better than what I can do (and what most can do), but I am not a professional. And even though he dabbled in professional art, he couldn't hack it. Not many can. Not many can become a legend in it. It was his dream. It would be easier to believe that the deck was stacked against him due to his own personality, his beliefs, his old politically incorrect attittude, or whatever excuse he might use rather than admitting to coming up short on ability.
But ultimately, Tatsuya fails because he is UNTEACHABLE. He is studious, but he is studious to his own end and assumptions. He never improved because his ego wouldn't let him.

I just came to talk about how horrible Sinfest is.As a friend of mine once said of her boss, "He regards himself as a 'finished product'."
Tats's "knowledge" always seems to be something that's 1 quick Google search away.
He wants to appear deep by referring to things like rap albums or books or poems or songs, but he never applies it in a way that shows true understanding of the source material.
I think the clearest example of this is the fact that he used the SCUM manifesto as several characters' first foray into feminism that instantly convinced them of the merits of radical feminism. I'm 100% convinced he never read any of it himself.
Tats is a lazy writer who takes narrative shortcuts all the time, but I think it stems from an even bigger flaw. He is incredibly intellectually lazy, but he does seem to consider himself a real intellectual.
It's possibly the main reason that he keeps crapping his pants as a writer without realising it. He is just not as smart as he thinks he is.

Speaking as someone who works retail and cleans the bathrooms on a semi-regular basis (and offers up prayers of thanks to any and all deities that it's SEMI-regular) I can safely say that edit is so full of bullcrap I could use it to fertilize a corn field.
Granted, neither bathrooms are great and when the men's room gets bad IT GETS BAD, but the ladies room is consistently nasty, and can reach heights I've never even seen from the men's room.
Used Toilet paper thrown in the tampon bins, missing the toilet and peeing on the floor, children's underwear in the bins, empty single serving bottles of wine in the bins, empty boxes of cold pills in the bins, and one of my co-workers once found a shirt (again, in the damned tampon bin) that had crap smeared in it that may have been connected to that time I found little piles of fecal matter strewn about the store. (I'd like to add that we cleaned that up ASAP, which would've been sooner if someone had thought to tell us sooner. Wouldn't even have to admit to it.)
And yeah, to whoever made that edit, there ain't NEARLY enough Transgender people in my area to be the root cause of this, so the only one who can be blamed are other women.
Didn't know that. Either way, Tats needs to work retail for a year or two. That notion will be dispersed QUICK.

Hold up, what do you mean "an edit"? That's straight up Tats himself posting his own comic.
Wasn't it a comic he made just for Spinster or was it a legit Sunday comic?
Direct to Spinster. A sequel to the Feminist Utopia comic with the female characters walking toward the statue of Justice.

This seems typical, especially that transphobe sign in the background , my god Tats are you contridicting yourself? And look at that lovely reply down there
A Slick fanTats suffers from Paranoid Bullying Syndrome
The more he acts like a bully the more he shrieks he's a victim and the more different categories of people he decides are bullying him

Boy, am I grateful that when I was working in retail (actually, food service), the restrooms were public facilities, so they weren't our responsibility. By your accounts, I dodged some military-grade bullets there.
You don't even wanna know. I have stories man.
You are not the only one. And I was actually maintenance, so there was no "sometimes" when I was doing it.

Oh man are we back to that plotline now or is that a refrence and will never be brought up again?
A Slick fanIt's only been a year, I should hope so.
Is this Tange and Lil E's house? I guess I can groan now because we have to endear more of her braindead antics.
Who's the teenager with the walking stick?
Didn't Tange move into D-Man's mansion along with Lil'E?
If Tats was a more competent writer, it would focus on the year throughout the year and it randomly be a female or male to keep the readers on their toes.
