Okay, I have to admit this is the most sympathetic Xanthe has been in half a decade.

The metaphor is still bad, though. Zombies were supposed to represent men who harass women, then it moved to trans/gender nonconforming people, and now I have no idea of what it's supposed to mean.

It means "she likes it" and therefore is transformed into a johnbie by the evils of the patriarchy

I will say, if someone's willing to have sex to pay for a cupcake, maybe they just like having sex.

The whole "forced into prostitution by desperate need for money" is usually more survival-level needs - food, shelter, medicine, drug addiction (which isn't technically a survival-level need but sure feels like it to the addict). I suppose a cupcake is technically food, but it's not exactly going to last you very long.

it's dificult to tell what — if anything — she's thinking. One blank flat-affect expression looks like any other.

The sign says "FREE" — with no qualifications, unlike other strips that limited free goodies to women. So how will Xanthe react when a male zombie wants a cupcake?

Tats doesn't waste any time establishing and reinforcing the double standard of how zombies are supposed to be treated for possessing a penis or not.

Let me reiterate the point I've been making for the last few years: Tats is a quckin' HACK.

So, the progression of Xanthe's emotions and Tat's justification of his own behavior are interesting to behold. Xanthe did this before: making it seem as if she is giving men a chance. You all are right that "Women only" wasn't written there before. That leads to two theories: 1) Tat was lazy and didn't think to add it until now. There is the possibility that felt that a sudden reveal would be more funny, which at worst makes him a poor planner. He could have found a way to avoid showing the front of the stall. Or 2) Xanthe added it after she saw the hombie. This suggests she was willing to give men a chance in celebration of the time of year. But when she saw the hombie she thought: "Men. They aren't worthy of chances. They can never have my cupcakes. Even if it DOES bring all the boys to the yard!"

But seriously, what this shows (or what Tat is trying to say) is that Xanthe was a good little nieve foot soldier. She showed her faith in men only to see the horrors of THEIR EVIL SICK WORLD made manifest via the hombie.

At first, I thought Tat was kinda riffing on the pettyfest that showed him begging via the drones. But looking at it now I think he's basically trying to justify hatred toward men. Except himself, of course.

I'm not only thinking that he's a believer...he is a neckbeard version of a believer.

He is that desperate for a crumb of pussy that he will sell out half of humanity to get it.

I think this post on his Spinster account says enough about what he's trying to gain. It's Men be like, drawn, written and posted by a (close to) 50 year old man.

The hypocrisy is astronomical. The irony is so great that it can be mined for resources. The hilarity of Tats acting like he's the exception on the "all men are scum" tenets of radical feminism is absolutely hysterical.

He's fishing for sympathy and Patreon bucks like the loneliest man on the planet. It really shows in his writing over the last weeks. He's writing for the memes and likes. Xanthe acting "cute" and "lolz pumpkin spice and Halloween amirite" before suddenly macing a man in the face she lured over to her cupcakes should be read in this perspective I think.

For evidence I present the rest of his Spinster account among which for example Xanthe dancing (and dabbing "AM I HIP YET KIDS I UNDERSTAND THE MEMES") to celebrate October has naturally been uploaded in full colour only three days after being written.
