If Tats wanted to neatly wrap up Sinfest — and he says he doesn't — and also toss a cherry bomb into Christian canon, he could have Satan reconcile with God, kiss and make up with Hekate, retire with Hekate to raise Li'l Evil, and turn the job position of Chief Devil over to Vainglorious ... who would make Earthly affairs fabulous.

"We don't do consistency" should be the tagline of Sinfest.

Since we just rediscovered that fact I'm thinking Tats doesn't know where he's going with this whatsoever.

The storyline has been slow and meandering. Perhaps he'll have thought of something by Sunday, but he might as well drop it for weeks if he can't think of anything.

I think it's kinda cute Lily wanted to show off his Bomf skills, even if he probably still needs some pointers. But it does seem Tats is trying to hold off having the kid make any meaningful decision yet.

I'll bet you're right. Nana received Hekate's message (and it doesn't matter whether the message was true or false), so now she'll most likely send the Sisterhood on a rescue mission to the Mansion.

And that will prevent any further plot advancement or exposition of backstory. We are becoming wise to the Ways of Tatsuya.

Do you think she'll tell Xanthe she's there to save Lil'E and not Tange? Nana might have a revolt on her hands at that point.

Huh...I didn't expect the devil to react that way. I think I might like where this story is going. Is he actually going to be a good father figure?

Well, he managed lower my already low expectations.

So, the Devil himself is a fair if tough employer who stresses pragmatism over senseless acts, has no qualms about women serving in positions of power, and also praises his kid for trying his best.

Where can I apply for a job with his company?

What am I saying? It's been years since we've seen the Devil acting like a true villain.

Well, I think the rest of Hekate's message was a lie, too.

Theory: Hekate hates Satan because he didn't stay with her after she conceived Vainglorious, but chose Lilith instead ... after Hekate betrayed Lilith by sneaking around behind her back and getting busy with Satan.

(It reminds me a bit of the old joke about the wife who called her husband a cad because he didn't tell her he'd had a vasectomy until after she told him that she was pregnant.)

In effect, Satan dissed her by treating Hekate as "the girl you want to screw but don't want to marry." And I think he made the right choice, considering how Hekate turned out.

I gotta say, this one cracked me up because of how damn awkward the whole thing is.

Hexapodia, you may be right about Hekate's message being a lie, since at no moment Lilith said that her son was in danger at the hands of Satan.

Enjoy it while it lasts. I'm sure he'll have to go to being a cardboard cutout promoting caricatures of trans values soon.

It's still important to remember that there are hordes of transsexual zombies lurking off screen.

It's amazing to me how much Tats was willing to fuck his own setting over just to get one over on his detractors. He must be a very spiteful individual!

I'm betting at some point Lil'E asks about becoming an angel only for Daddy-Devil to make some statement about how such changes are a pipe dream for the foolish or some other expression of hypocrisy. Let Lil'E see just enough behind the curtain to fall out of love with finding his Dadoo to give the "rescue" some legitimacy.

That might very well happen, but if it does Tats will be sabotaging his own message. Tange is proof that conversion from innocent human to devil girl IS possible — essentially proving in-comic that the pro-trans position is correct. And having Satan — the supposed Big Bad, the force behind the Evil Patriarchy — take an anti-trans, pro-TERF line puts him on the same side as the Sisterhood.

Tats' message is already muddled. If he adds TERF dogma to this arc, it'll be utterly incoherent.

The Devil doesn't have to believe his message to try to sell it, and I'd think Tats would love to add a touch of hypocrisy in the idea that the Devil pushes a message and lifestyle he thinks is rubbish and the gullible eat it up.

Of course I may be giving him too much credit here due to how smoothly the story seems to be going now.

Oh, this certainly would be delightfully awkward. Either the Devil sabotages himself by allowing Lil-E to be an angel, or Tats sabotages himself by putting his talking points in the mouth of literally Satan. I want to see how he dodges it.
