For 4koma-derived slice of life series?
Avatar SourceFor almost everything.
The compressed film versions of the original Space Battleship Yamato and Mobile Suit Gundam were the actual items that catapulted each to popularity.

Those are not slice of life 4-koma tho'.
Saw a post from Crunchyroll on Instagram wishing Nijika a happy birthday, and most of the replies are images or GIFs of Doritos. Is this really a meme? If I squint, I can kind of see her head looking that way, but only barely.
It's been a meme since the show aired. It comes from her ahoge (or hair antennae).
Oh.
...
...It does look like Doritos.
Cool video (well, just the music really) of the guitar and bass tracks isolated for the street performance version of "That Band."

The music really is damn good, love that guitar and bass.
Bocchi The Rock to get a Stage Play this August.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/A... Sober Hiroi really is just Bocchi but older.
Avatar SourceHy friend has a question concerning the most recent manga chapter...
How the hell does Kikuri Hiroi have a driver's license?
Presumably either before she started being drunk constantly, or they somehow managed to get her sober long enough to earn it.
I mean, they pulled it off for this shrine trip basically by (seemingly) asking nicely. Destructive and boisterous as she is, Hiroi still seems to be a pushover if you don't try to get her to stop entirely.
Avatar SourceI think he more meant "How has she managed to keep her license?"
Being too drunk to even find the car most of the time?
Avatar SourceReally fantastic english cover of "Guitar, Loneliness, and Blue Planet."
Edit: Oh shit, this is actually voice actor Corrine Sudberg. ...Well, now I hope she voices Kita, if Crunchyroll ever decides to do an english dub of Bocchi.

Oh that is pretty good.
Must. Resist. Urge. To. Rewatch.
Bocchi the Rock Bluray is now available for pre-order... But still only subbed. And unusually, only on Bluray, not BD/DVD combo.
Are there any examples before of the major anime publishers putting out a Bluray... Then doing a dub later, leading to them putting out a new edition Bluray?
Kaguya Sama's first season is weird in that way. They put out the first season on Blu Ray, dubbed the second season later, then went back and did the first.
Dunno if they ever released the dub version on blu Ray though.
I was so looking for a cute anime I could discuss with people and I finally found Bocchi! I loved the first episode. It's so amazing.

I am at episode 2 and I was watching with a family member. We both felt for Bocchi and felt she made great progress.

Theatrical releases that compress a TV season are very common in Japan.
