I wonder if there's any fics of Miles video-chatting with his old friends from the school he used to go to, telling them he misses them and they miss him too, all that bittersweet stuff.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I finally watched the movie and I was wondering something.
So, while the character page theorizes that Miguel injects himself to maintain his powers, I was wondering if it’s to stave off bloodlust/keep his sanity.
I’m not sure how literally we are supposed to take the description of him as a vampire, but he seemed pretty murderous when fighting Renaissance!Vulture and during his fight with Miles.
I think calling Miguel a vampire is just the characters being irreverent with their similes. From what I understand of Spider-Man 2099, he's genetically spliced with a spider and has spider fangs as a result. I believe he can inject poison through them, which presumably is what he was trying to do to Vulture before he was interrupted.
I was wondering if it could be a situation similar to Joaquin Torres in the comics, who was spliced with a falcon but also has vampire powers since the falcon was a vampire. Although AFAIK, Joaquin doesn't have any downsides of vampirism except red eyes.
It also seems kind of suggestive that Miguel is described as a vampire because the villains of Spider-Verse in the comics are The Inheritors, who are a version of vampire.
Not that I think that he's supposed to "really" be Morlun and I find him sympathetic. But still an interesting choice.

Heh, I found a fic on AO3 that had Miguel and Jessica Drew witnessing a dimension which had three young Spideys taking on Doc Ock in a kid-friendly way. (He doesn't intervene despite there apparently being a lack of canon events, the implication that it was a personal choice based on how his late daughter would've reacted at dragging these children into his work)
