The Hope, The Hero

  • Real Name: Hiroto Miyajima
  • Superhero Name: Knight Atreides.
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: A militaristic young man with short but spikey red hair. Usually, he wears a dark gray set of combat fatigues, but has occasionally be seen in a gray military dress uniform with the markings of the Colonial Defence Force.
  • Costume: As Hiroto is under the Real Robot class, his "costume" is a slightly-modified general-purpose mass-production Colonial Defence Force mech, painted in a dull gray with red markings. The mech's body is rather stocky, standing at a height of 4.3 metres, and is armed with a mech-grade assault rifle, and a missile rack. It's head has a cyclopean profile, reflecting the utilitarian designs used by the CDF.
  • Personality: Hiroto is someone who's generally polite, and yet professional in his work. He can get along with people easily enough, but his upbringing in a military family have perhaps made it difficult for him to open up to people. If one were to befriend him, though, it might take a while before he grows comfortable around them. In combat, however, Hiroto is a force to be reckoned with, using any advantage he can get to win the battles he finds himself in. That being said, he understands there are rules to be followed, so he knows better than to be ruthless for the sake of it.
  • Hero Class: Real Robot
  • Powers: Outside of his mech, Hiroto is a baseline human whose main traits are having a body trained to physical excellence thanks to being part of the CDF. Otherwise, when he's piloting his mech, his "powers" include:
    • Mech-Neural Interface: Partly a security measure, partly a military-approved augment, this neural interface is designed to give CDF mech pilots synchronization with their machines, allowing them to adapt more quickly to changes in combat scenarios more so than most previous forms of mech control.
    • Ballistic Resistance: His mech has been reinforced to handle most forms of small-arms fire, shrugging off anything that's not designed for anti-tank warfare.
    • Multi-Purpose Sensor Suite: Installed mainly in the head, this suite contains sensors that usually cover most forms of alternate vision. This includes X-Ray, Thermal, Night, and Electromagnetic Vision.
    • Mech Mobility: Using powered locomotion built into its feet, Hiroto can move around the battlefield with relative ease, being able to perform flanking manoeuvres or weave through enemy fire if necessary.
    • Mechanical Strength: The Knave's mechanical servos can lift up to 50 tonnes, making it ideal for moving heavy-duty weights.
  • Gear:
    • Pilot Gear:
    • Carbine: A PDWS used by CDF soldiers, this is a compactible package designed to give its users versatility in ground operations.
    • Pistol: A service pistol meant to complement its carbine counterpart, Hiroto usually keeps it close at hand in case of emergencies.
    • Combat Suit: CDF-standard piloting suit, with protective armour and ammo pouches, but also designed to mitigate the effects of G-Forces on the pilot.
    • Mech Weapons:
    • Auto-Repeater Rifle: A 25mm rifle that's standard issue for most CDF mechs, this rifle fires armour-piercing shells intended for use against targets that are similar to other mechs.
    • Sword: A melee weapon intended for emergencies, this sword is made out a hardened steel edge meant to cut through dense metal.
    • Missile Rack: An 8-shot missile rack located on the left shoulder, these missiles can be fired at individual targets or focus on a single target. Arguably the most powerful weapon in this mech's arsenal.
  • Background:
    • Hiroto was born in the Hoshi 6 Colony Cluster, one of numerous colonies that Japan's government had set up with the help of the Space Patrol. Born into a military family, he would grow up around R.R's, constantly learning about them as he attended school and worked to follow in his family's footsteps.
    • On his 18th birthday, he would enlist in the Colonial Defence Force, ending up as part of the assigned forces defending the Hoshi clusters, eventually finding himself taking part in peacekeeping operations around the colonies.
    • With concerns of a second Lost Decade on the rise, Colonial High Command assigned Hiroto back onto Earth to take part in Silver Academy's latest class, assigning him the codename "Knight Atreides."
  • Etc: Hiroto served as part of the Pegasus Unit under General Junpei Takeda. His callsign was Horn-2, and while he would have preferred to continue on as a normal soldier, his father Kenji pulled strings to ensure that he would be placed in the Silver Academy. It is suggested that he wishes to have the CDF foster some good PR with Fuji City in order to guarantee continued support in the face of rising tensions.

EDIT: Oh, rats. Ah, well.
