Anyone can use Rally Spectrum, and they don't even need to be Engaged for it. Dragon Instruct is way more restricted, since it requires being Engaged. The difference does come with an advantage, though: you can stack it with Rally Spectrum, in case you want to have an unfair amount of extra temp stats.

Yeah, Rally Spectrum is the level 15 Grandmaster skill in Awakening, so it's pretty intrinsically linked to Robin. Although, funnily enough, I can't even remember the last time I went into Grandmaster in Awakening proper.

Instruct is the Byleth version.

Man, I still wonder what Evil Veyle has in store for Emblem Alear in the bad ending.

And unlike other fell emblems, Alear seems to be able to speak.

Nel with Byleth or Veronica would probably make more sense than where I currently have those Emblems. Maybe I should give Veronica to Zelestia; having her use Contact on a better unit is probably better than having her attack.

And this has still gone better than my first attempt at FX 6. It turns out Chloe is terrible.

[up] I thought of one possibility for Guylear in particular, but I don't think anybody wants me to say it.

But yes Byleth is one of the more powerful emblems, since he and Veronica can both let Seadall move again and are thus the only characters so far in the series that can Dance a Dancer

Which in turn means your most powerful unit can attack up to four times in one turn

Chloe isn't terrible, but she needs to work harder in FX, where she can't Mage Knight, and is instead stuck as a physical lance class. The upside of that is that Griffin is stupid fast, putting her in the upper tier of units who can hit Spd benchmarks by inheriting some kind of Spd+ inherit. When I did early FX, with Spd/Dex +4 and the House Lords, she plowed through half of the map. Flying Failnaught/Areadbhar that doubles does a lot to dismantle enemy defensive formations and make the push forward much, much safer for the rest of the team.
